Lisa returned home late in the evening. She looked terrible. Her hair was unkept not as worse as when she was in jail but still...and her face had tried up tears on it and her face and eyes were red from crying so much. Her clothes had dirts on them from kneeling and lying down on the cemetery ground

She didn't bother to wash her face before walking home. Neither did she care about the people who gossip when they saw how she looked. Sadness and sorrows filled her heart. What people said just didn't matter now.

She walked in the house and found her mom in the sitting room anticipating her return.

"Where did you go?" Mom asked approaching her. Her face looked void of emotions.

Lisa suddenly found a huge lump in her throat. Mom had forbade her from visiting Lia grave. The guardsman at the gate was paid and instructed never to allow her to see Lia grave. Plus that's was Lia's request. That Lisa shouldn't be present at her burial and she should never visit her.

Truth be told, lisa have never visited her grave before. She only saw where she was buried from afar when she was still in the custody of the police and that's how she knew lia grave.

"Have you suddenly lost your voice?" Her mom yelled and Lisa flinched unconsciously.

" I... I... went...to.. visit... Her..." Lisa didn't even complete her statement when she slapped her hard.

A fresh new round of tears fell from her eyes. It was as if she haven't cried in years even though she just did a few hours ago.

"Why did you go to see her? Even after her death, you still don't care about her. You know her wishes, why do you still want torment her? " Mother yelled at lisa. She kept quiet with tears running down her cheeks.

"Quit those crocodile tears. Do you think I let you come out of jail for nothing.if anything, I wanted you to rot there but there you have a purpose you'll have to serve me for" her mom said giving her a hateful but thoughtful look.

"Which purpose?" Lisa wondered in her mind.

" Now prepare yourself. You getting married in three days time"..

She dropped the most shocking news of Lisa life.

Getting married?

To who??

"what... What do you mean by that mom?" Lisa stuttered. Her mom let out a sinister smile while staring directly at Lisa.

"Didn't you hear me or are you deaf now?" Lisa's mom snapped at her. Lisa bit her lips sadly.

She couldn't just understand why her mom suddenly changed against her after her sister's death.

"Lia was already engaged with someone. And right now, his ready to marry her. But since you've killed your own sister, you'll be taking her place" her mother said nonchalantly.

Lisa eyes widened. No one ever told her of Lia being engaged. Not even Lia. How was that possible?

Could that have happened the time she was away?

Lisa left to stay with her grandmother, her father's mother for 3years however Lia and Andy remained with their mother.

Lisa felt stuffy inside. No one even found it important to let her know of something so crucial. How many more secrets are they hiding from her?

"But mom... Am not ready for marriage......."

" And I don't care if you are" her mom interrupted her sharply.

" I can't get married now. Am too young for that mom. Please try and understand me mom" Lisa tried again to persuade her with pleading eyes. But her mom just let out a sarcastic laugh.

"You should have Known they'll be consequences for your actions." She only said and walked away.

" But mom I didn't....." Her mom was already long gone before she completed her statement. " kill Lia" she muttered the remaining statement to herself before heading back to her room.

She entered her room and went to stand in front of her dressing mirror. She stripped her self of her clothing and examined her body.

Her body still had those bugs bites and scars she got from prison. The tears she has been trying to hold for so long fell freely. She didn't make a noise while crying

It was just that moment that she realized that the stigma of being her sister's killer will never leave her no matter how hard she tried to prove her innocence.

Everyone already took her as a killer and the name definitely wasn't going to change leave her anytime soon.

Her mind went back to one of her current problems.

She was getting married in three days time to someone she didn't know. All she knew was she was marrying her sister's lover.

It was obvious her mom no longer cared for her since she was forcing her to marry against her very own wishes.

"Should I really stand and watch mom destroy my life?" Lisa asked herself while staring at her naked reflection in the mirror.

She slowly shook her head. No, she wasn't ready for marriage and she certainly wasn't going to let her mom destroy her life for her.

Staring at her reflection, she looked more determined. She was going to escape from this.

She entered the bathroom and took a quick shower. Coming out, she wore a black hoodie with black trousers. She grabbed her bag pack and stocked them with a few clothing before leaving her room sneakily. It was already night when she snuck out.

She went down the stairs slowly and gently avoiding any creaking sound that could expose her. The lights were turned off in the sitting room. She turned on her phone torch to enable her see where she would be passing to avoid bumping into anything.

She immediately went towards the kitchen. Thankfully, the kitchen had a back door which was the perfect exit for her escape. If she passes through the front door, she will be caught by the gateman and the guards however the kitchen back door would lead her to the fence which is not to high to jump and best of all, no guards would be guiding there.

She immediately put her idea into motion and left through the kitchen back door. She double checked the surrounding before moving the fence.

She threw her bag pack over the fence but it got hooked on a Barb wire.

"Shit." She cursed looking at her predicament.

Low grunts and groans could be heard as she tried to climb the fence by placing rocks upon rocks to aid her. She freed her bag pack before jumping over to the other side.

All this while, her heart was beating abnormally fast. She was feeling excited and scared the same time.

Only God know what will happen to her if she was caught.

She shuddered at the thought. She didn't even want to think of the possibility.

She immediately starting heading to the only destination she knew; The Freeman's House.

......

Wendy's eyes looked around her room hazily. She was still partially asleep and partially awake.

"Wendy!!" She heard someone call her name once again and she sat up instantly.

So it wasn't a dream. Someone was really calling her.

She got down from her bed and went to her window. She met someone waving at her from outside her house. Even though she couldn't see the face of the person due to the hoodie the person was wearing, she could tell it's someone she knew.

She went out of her room down the stairs and opened the door .

"Holly Molly. Lisa!" Wendy exclaimed loudly. Lisa immediately covered her mouth with her hands.

" God! Keep it down Wendy. Your going to alert everyone then I'll be in trouble" Lisa whispered and Wendy nodded frantically before Lisa released her mouth.

"In trouble? Why? What's going on?" Wendy asked giving her room to enter the house before she locked the door.

She and Lisa began heading for her room quietly so as not to wake Wendy's mom..

"I'll explain." Lisa said as she entered and sat down on Wendy's bed while she locked the door.

"So tell me babe. Am listening" Wendy urged sitting right next to her.

Lisa began explaining everything.

Wendy Freeman was from an influential family just like Lisa's family only that The Williams had more wealth. Just like Lisa, Wendy too doesn't have a father. Her mom and dad divorced when she was only five leaving her to be the only child. However she had step siblings. Her father remarried but her mom remained single.

Wendy's mom and Lisa mom are best friends making Wendy close to both Lia and Lisa and that is why she was the only person who came into her mind when she wanted to escape.

"Whoa babe. You are really going through alot. Does anyone know your here? " Wendy asked

" Nope. No one"Lisa shook her head .

" That's a good thing then"

" Yeah. Can I please spend the night here? I promise to think of something out tomorrow" Lisa looked at her while pleading.

" It's okay Lisa. You don't even have to ask. My home is your home too" Wendy said offering a smile. That made Lisa feel at ease and she released a tired sigh.

"Come on let's get some rest."

Lisa nodded and they both allowed nature take place as they laid down.

**

A bucket of water was splashed on her face Making her jerk up from her unconscious state.

Her foggy eyes slowly got accustomed to her surrounding and her eyes widened. She tried to move but she discovered that she was tied firmly to a chair.

Lisa looked up and almost immediately, a slap landed on her cheeks. Her mom had used all the strength she could muster to slap her across the face. Her cheeks stung badly from the slap. Finger imprint could be seen on her cheeks.

"How dare you try to escape from me?"
