The Conversation

I didn't wanna follow him but observing the whole students glimpsing at me made me stand up. Some were shooting me lethal glint and some were grumbling. I didn't give a damn but heeded him as instructed.

Rather than hauling me to a corner like the other time, he took me to what appeared like a classroom. It was well furnished and one can mistake it for an office if not for the learning facilities that were there.

"Where is this place?" I interrogated, glancing around the new place

"Laura didn't tell you about it? This is our classroom" he muttered in a low voice

"Oh!" Was all that I could utter. I wanted to ask how many of them are using the so-called classroom but decided to shut my mouth.

Gonna ask Laura, I thought

I wasn't told before I sat down on the sofa that was placed in a corner.

"I didn't ask you to sit!" He half yelled.

"Courtesy demand you offer your guest a sit if you don't know" I responded without looking at him. well, I didn't care.

"Spoilt brat!" He murmured but it was loud enough for my hearing.

"I heard that!" I retorted

"I brought you here to converse with you since others are occupied currently. normally, other students ain't allow to come in talkless of commoners like you" he blunted but I didn't let him finish the statement before I cut him off.

"Why bring me here since a commoner isn't authorized to enter?" I asked

"To Converse with you Kiara. I can't apologize to you! I didn't see anything wrong with what I did! It's very typical! But since it has whirled like this, I would like us to settle things within each other and never cross paths again" he blunted

I was only staring at him like a zombie. I wasn't foreseeing him admitting guilt since I know it would be difficult and would also hurt his ego.

"Ain't you gonna say anything?" He questioned. Yet, I didn't reply

"Kiara! Ain't you gonna talk?" He asked again

"What do you want me to say? You ain't feeling ashamed and think there is nothing nasty in what you did. When you are ready to let go of your pride and apologize, let me know" I muttered, then stood up to leave but he ran to my front and blocked my way.

"Where do you think you are going? I'm not done with you" he shouted. I didn't flinch a bit since I'm used to it.

"And I've nothing to do here, can't I leave?" I questioned, knowing fully well that he would not permit me to go

"You ain't allowed to go till I'm done with you, Kiara" he Muttered.

"And who you are to keep me waiting! Asshole!" I said but the last word was in a silent tone

"Do you despise me to that extent? You may see my father's opponent disparaging him because of me. You wanna wreck me, Kiara! Why can't you delete that footage and I'll handsomely compensate you for that" he mumbled and frustration was apparent in his voice.

"When you are ready to apologize in front of the whole school, let me know!" I said, pushing him aside before vacating the room.

I asked myself some questions as I was going to the class.

Did I go too far by asking me to apologize in front of the whole school? What he did was worth more than that!

I entered the class, saw my colleague taking one of two things from their bag, and left the class.

"Kiara!" Laura called

"We have less than five minutes to reach the physics laboratory." She said, I rapidly picked up my book and pen before leaving the class together with Laura.

"I've been looking for you. Where did Ryan take you to?" She asked with interests

"His classroom" I blunted without thinking twice

Laura halted instantly, she opened her mouth but couldn't say anything.

"What is it? Are you shocked?" I asked, trying to know the justification behind her action

"I was only amazed that he took you there! Nobody has entered that study room before except their bitches, when they wanna get fucked" she clarified.

"Not even you?" I inquired.

"I once entered the place when Principal sent me to them" she explained and we resumed the walking

"What did you go there for? Don't tell me you are also crushing on him!" She screamed. I quickly used my hand to cover her mouth, in order not to draw unnecessary attention.

"He only took me for a little dialogue. Don't worry, I'm gonna tell you later" I said.

"Promise?" She asked.

"Yeah, promise" I replied.

We entered the physics laboratory and the teacher also arrived almost shortly. Students stopped murmuring instantly after he was sighted.

I was expecting him to commence teaching immediately but he wouldn't cease peeking through the door .

"What's happening?" I asked Laura.

"He is waiting for Ryan and his friends" she answered.

"Thought their class always takes place inside their study room?" I asked again.

"They always come out to join us during practicals" he explained.

After what seemed like forever, Ryan and three other guys came in.

"You guys have wasted our time, try to make adjustments next time," the teacher said calmly.

I was expecting the other guys to apologize for keeping us waiting, knowing fully well that Ryan would never do such but to my amazement, none of them did.

"Birds of the same feather flocks together indeed" I murmured but Laura heard me and smiled

"Guys, we are going to start the practical now since the guys are here. I'll pair you into two and you're gonna work concurrently. I'll explain the basics of the work today and I'm expecting you guys to submit it next Tuesday. Failure to submit at the right time will lose the sum of ten marks" he announced.

"Now, listen attentively to your name and remember, there is nothing like changing partners" he added

"Sir, I'll like to choose Kiara as my partner" Ryan requested

"What!" I clamored while he smirked.

oh no! I wasn't expecting that! I was shocked to the bone.
