OLIVIA'S POV

The sight of the sunset illuminating Charles lanky figure in our dark living room drove me over the board as no one said anything to me about him coming over.

Anger to me was Primitive, it was a very hard emotion to fight against once it escaped the prison of one's mind.

The late sunset lit up the stained-glass window of our frontage, and Charles silhouette was framed

right into it like a portrait: He was leaning against our traditional Chinese figurines that had been in the family for years.

He heard me descending down the steps and cleared his throat before speaking.

“You’re late,” Charles said. “Been waiting a while.”

I pulled up my eyebrow contorting my face into a frown “I figured you enjoy popping right into other people's homes unannounced?"

His tongue appeared to be tied as he said nothing but shook his head . “Not much everytime. I just tend to enjoy spending time with you." He waved his hands around. “As you can see we might be getting betrothed."
