Chapter 14

Ralph POV

I sat on the stairs, my head resting against the cool wall while I closed my eyes and let out a deep sigh. My thoughts kept drifting back to Lovette, the little girl I had once teased and ridiculed when we were younger, laughing at her and making fun of her whenever I got the chance.

I can’t believe how much has changed since then. I used to think of her as nothing more than a silly, annoying girl, but now I was head over heels in love with her.

I know I have to do something about it.

I remembered the way she had looked at me the other day when we had almost kissed. I could see the emotion in her eyes, and I knew that she felt the same way about me.

I remembered the way she looked at me, with those big hazel eyes that seemed to see right through me. I remembered how she laughed, with a light and carefree sound that made my heart beat. I remembered the way she touched me with gentle hands that sent shivers down my spine.
