She almost couldn't believe she was being thrown into the devil's den just like that. And the fact that the people pleasing trait she had in her never failed to falter in situations like that.

So, she had agreed.

Ember was about to walk into the study room where Zaire was. The room had a built in library that he used for at least an hour everyday. It was his private space and Ember knew she should probably leave him a lone. But she wanted to get over it as soon as she could.

"Don't go right now, he hates people in there when he's studying," Bill warned, looking after Ember's feeling because no one would know what he's do.

"It's alright. I'll just go now," she said with a strange determination. She heard the others whisper about how dead she was or how much she would regret not waiting till he was done. Ember was already facing the worst.
