You Sort Of Shine

Hearing her words, my lips went dry. I swallow hard but my throat goes dry as well.

There's no words I can use to describe the fear that overtakes me, but strangely, I neither scream nor run away. I just think it would be pointless if she ever really wanted to bite me to death.

"C-claim me? Own me?" I rephrased. "You're pretty possessive, huh? And what do you think of me? A stray puppy that you can just pick up if you like? I don't belong to you."

Just a while ago, she was standing behind the tricycle. However, after hearing my words, she dashes next to my side in a flash.
