It's Showtime

*AUTHOR'S POV*

A woman's devastated wail greets Morgan as soon as he opens the door of the hospital ward.

"Ma, Pa, how's brother?" He asks as he hugs his mother, who immediately meets him with open arms. Her cry raised the helplessness and grieving atmosphere of the room.

"Morgan, your brother— Oh God, I don't know what to do if he dies." Mrs Heirden loses the strength to stand, she limply slides down from his arms, and so he quickly helps his mother to sit.

"Ma, stop crying. This will only upset Mario,', says Morgan.

Mrs Heirden sobs even more. "I won't forgive myself if he dies."

"Enough saying like that, Ma. No one will die.", his tone carries a hint of annoyance. "I'll do everything to keep him alive. I promise you that."

Morgan moves his eyes towards an old man who is sitting on the stool opposite them as he hears a sound of punching. He sees his father hitting his heart. "Pa, what are you doing? Quit it. You're hurting yourself."

"I'm punishing myself." Mr Heirden hit his heart
