As I awoke my entire body ached, I felt like I had been hit by a mack truck. The pain was radiating through every limb and my head throbbed uncontrolablely making my vision blury. I went to move trying to sit myself up only to slip off the edge of the branch and fall flat on my face onto the forest floor. I hear a loud shriek from Rosalyna as she hurried down the tree and to my side. " Oh my lord Steffon are you okay brother?" She asked with a wobbly voice. " I've been so scared for the last two days sense you passed out in the cave in the grassy hill," She tells me with a sorrowful tone, like she's been crying for a few days. Standing with her help, I glance to her face squitting from the pain. I see that her eyes are swollen and red around the ends of her eyelids. Showing that she had in fact been crying for long periods of time. Moving slowly as my body twinges in agony, I move closer hugging her tightly. " I'm so sorry sis, I think Sarah has seen the darkness, I had a vision of
HI everyone! I hope Steffon and Rosalyna are able to find Sarah before her fate is sealed. I would love to hear your thoughts about this chapter and please feel free to drop your gems. If you are enjoying my story so far! Thank you for reading! S. Jones
Fortunately Elder Lilia told my mother " She wasn't upset about how I reacted, its usual for people who have been mentally traumitized over along period of time to have random out bursts of fear, anger or sadness from reliving theirs memories as they speak about them. Its a sure way to trigger all their emotions at once, causing full blown melt downs." She also had said " She would have been more concerned if I hadn't of acted the way I did, by me freaking out showed her I was still trying to fight whatever was happening to me and everyone should only be worried if I quit talking all together, because that would show that my body was slowly shutting down from all the stress and in some rare cases people go comatose and never wake up or become a hollow shell of themselves turning child like needing round the clock care." I had stayed in my room the rest of the night and most the next day not wanting to see or be around anyone. My thoughts were so jumbled up I was having a har
Shawn's POV We needed to figure out how to help Sarah, more so now then ever! Dr. Solum wasn't sure what had happened that day when he walked into Sarah's room. He said she had turned around looking scared as she blankly stared at him. She seemed to loose her balance, stumbling as she tried to catch herself on her desk before she went into a daze falling to the floor of her room. He was just as puzzled as the rest of us on why she now laid in a comatose state and hadn't woken up for the last three days. I'm not one hundred percent sure what was going on with her. But I am pretty sure it has something to do with that vampire being her mate. Everything she described on what happened to her that day in the library was written in the one book she had choosen to ignore and not read; thinking it had nothing to pertain to what was going on with her. The jolt of electricty she felt was their mate bond snapping in place merging their souls together as one. Being a werewolf we are tau
Rosalyna's POV I watched as his breathing slowed and picked up at times, with the small whimpers that left his lips. I could only imagine what he was going through in his mind right now. I hadn't spoken to him in nearly three days. My brother laid on the bumpy sofa unconscious. I tried everything to wake him, from casting spells of energy, to slapping him repeatedly across his face and pouring buckets of ice water over him, nothing worked. He would slump back down onto the couch as soon as I softened my grip from around his shoulders. My brain and insides were churning with despair. Our mother had told us of the curse, but nothing rang through my memories on this ever occurring. I was at a lost for words and unsure of what to do next. The only thing that I could think of was to cast a barrier spell next to the White Elves territory in hopes that if my brother's mate crossed over it would alert me to her prescence. T
The sound of nothingness rangout through the darkness that was endless in all directions. The longer I stood in one place I could feel the coldness of the dark seeping into my bones as the feeling of thousands of little needle pricks tingled over my skin leaving it numb. Breathing in deeply I let my mind linger on the silence around me. But I am left with the bitter taste of emptiness on the tip of my tongue. Thoughts whirled in and out spreading like a wildfire wondering if I had met an untimely death, by the darkness taking me as I slept. Stabbing into my mind and drowing me in the absence of light, causing my insides to feel hollow as if the small bit that once illuminated my soul was no longer a part of me. I felt my knees buckle under the pressure of my own weight, feeling the last bit of energy I held wash away. Crashing down hard on the dark surface below. The strangest feeling araises inside of me as I realize I should have felt some kind of impact as my
Time ticked away and as the coldness settled deeper into our bones, the sound of chattering teeth could be heard, ringing out into the endless blackhole that conusmed us. I wanted to move closer to her, enclose her in my arms to try and keep the cold from pouring further in. Yet, I couldn't bring myself to move even an inch more, afraid that I would loose her completely if I told her the rest of the truth. The words tainting my tongue like a bitter taste that seered itself to my taste buds, leaving them sour and raw to the touch. Never in my life have I ever been so scared, frightened to the point that I would rather be thrown into a pit of lava and burned alived then speak the words I must. I didn't want to cause her any more pain. The vision of her dying in my arms flashed before my eyes making me cringe and sink down onto the black surface. Would this truly be the fate we are destined for, could I be the one to drive her to complete madness. Am I the real face of th
Michelle's POV The more time that goes by, the more helpless I feel in saving my best friend from this stupid spell, curse or whatever you wanna call it. I've tired everything I could think of to do to help her, sense all this began. I spent hours in the library reading every book or article I could find. I even went to a few other packs to see if any of their pack members had gone through something like this and everytime I came up empty handed and no more closer to figuring out what was happening to her. It doesn't help that Ian has gone M.I.A this last month either on top of everything. The amount of pain I saw in her eyes each day he never came to see her, split my heart even more. When all she wanted was for him to hold her and tell her everything would be alright, instead he started to treat her like all our other pack members were, acting like she had some contagious disease or something and pushed her away. Which in turn caused her to pull away from everyone,
Shawn's POV My paws hit the ground hard and fast as I made my way to the Double Waterfalls. Mindlinking Michelle and Ian on my way, letting them know we needed to talk and where to meet me. I can't believe all this time Elder Lilia knew what was going on with Sarah and she never spoke one word of it, even to her parents or us. I wondered if Alpha Brent even knew the the truth behind what has been happening to her... One thing was for sure, we needed to find that filthy blood sucker and figure out a way to break the curse his kind brought down upon all future mates choosen for them. Growing up we all heard the tales of how they destoryed everything in their path. But to learn their spieces almost wipe out the exsitence of every living thing on the planet! That was beyond unforgivable. I would have ended every single one of their lives right then and there, stopping it from ever happening again, if I had the powers the Moon Goddess held. Still I couldn't wrap my
The smell of rotting flesh, had me stopping in my tracks. I let out a deep growl, turning on my paws as I faced the forest, inhaling as deeply as I could trying to figure out which direction the scent was coming from. My mind was reeling at the possibilty that maybe it was Artic's mate. But there was no way of knowing if it was actually him or just another one of his treacherous kind tresspassing onto our lands. They all held the same disgusting scent of what they truly were death and decay. The drums of my ears rumbled as an earth shattering scream ripped through the air, jogging me back into the reality at hand. I spun around on my paws darting through the back door, bounding my way up the stairs, cries and whimpers could be heard echoing throughout the house. Shifting as I neared her room. Thankful to have spotted a pair of sweatpants and a grey t-shirt, that had been left sitting on the hallway table. No one could have ever prepared me for what I was about to endure as I
