Dream girl

I was brought out of my nightmarish trance, by hearing the frantic voice of Shawn calling my name." SARAH! SARAH! Are you okay!" It took me a few more seconds to respond as an uneasy shiver ran down my spine as the last of the unnerving feeling washed away. " Yay I'm fine, why do you ask?"  "Well if possible! you looked even paler and you had this look of wanting to throw up." He replied.

" I'm okay, just some unsettling memories popping into my head again, you look really handsome tonight!" I say, as I winked at him. "Thanks!" He says, as a slow blush crosses his cheeks. Shawn has been eager to find his mate sense he turned sixteen last month. Most wolves find there mates at the age of eighteen. Shawn has been hoping, he would be an exception to that. Considering it's not completely unheard of someone finding their mate earlier.

I stood up from my families porch swing with a helping hand from Shawn. He always wants to hold my hand every chance he gets, since we met in elementary school. We slowly decended down the front porch stairs hand in hand making our way on the sidewalk, towards the middle of our town. Shawn suddenly stops! Letting go of my hand and starts clenching and unclenching his own. He looks into my eyes and asks. " Do I really look good Artic? You know I want to look my best! If I do by chance meet my mate!"

"Shawn, you look great! Really!" Seeing him so vulnerable and unconfident in this moment pulled at my heart strings.

"Whoever the lucky wolf is, may it be a female or by chance a male wolf...." I drag that last part out a little to get a rise out him! Honestly it doesn't matter what gender our mates will be, as long as they truly love us!

I always teased him about this, because he tells me that he has theses dreams of a beautiful girl with lilac colored eyes and hair as firey as the sun itself. Telling me he knows in his heart that she is his one true love!

The thing is though, no one in our pack has those types of traits... I watch as Shawn takes a few deep breaths and says "Thanks! Assness! I needed that! Oh and by the way, I know she is an amazingly stunning she-wolf, because I had another dream about her last night."

I glance to the side looking at him and ask. " So did you two meet at your usual place in your dream?" Shawn nods his head yes. "Well..... I say to him, then maybe you should relax a little bit knowing you already have a stunning mate out there for you, so take some more breathers and enjoy the party tonight."
