CHRIS
"Well, that was unexpected," Dave said.
Arya, on the other hand, suppressed a laugh.
I looked at our client who was just staring at the outcome of the case she was solving for us.
"N-No... please tell me this is a bluff!"
"Don't call it a bluff, miss. My group mates made an effort just to solve that case. You must thank them," Zanaya said.
"Everything will be okay, Porsha. You can find a more sensible man there, well that is if he's breaking up with you which was not the case, I guess. Maybe he just wanted to let you know about his gender preference and we must respect that," Arya reminded, tapping the woman on the shoulder.
"The important thing is, he is far from danger. Though it breaks your heart, time would heal it," I added.
"Let's look at the bright side of everything, Porsha. You might be grieving for now, but someday, you'll get through this. Don't become a blind person who can't see
ZANAYA"You guys should win this battle," Mrs. Roque reminded us as we fixed ourselves inside the van that would take us to the train station. My companions and I looked at each other. The responsibility rested upon us today. The fate of Zyfford Academy and the reputation of the Zyfford family were in the hands of the four of us."We will. And we will also bring home the stones," Dave said emphatically.I am more determined to fight now. When I was just an ordinary girl living in a not so beautiful world full of greedy people, I didn't care about fighting for something because I could have everything I wanted except for one thing of course and that was, my freedom. But after how many months of staying here, I realized that there were more things worth fighting for--justice, fairness, love, friendship, and freedom. These were the things that would keep your hope alive and worth fighting for. No matter how hard the situation w
ZANAYAI cleared my throat to get their attention. They looked at me especially Dave who seemed annoyed again. By that look, I wanted to laugh at him. It's like one look at me would ruin his whole day."I didn't say anything to my cousin," I began. Dave just raised an eyebrow because of what I said.I clasped my hands together and took a deep breath before I began an explanation that wasn't needed in the first place, but because of a nosy friend, I have to do this."It's true that I was just trying to get some fresh air then, but my cousin saw me and asked me to accompany him for his lunch, and so I agreed. Maybe you were surprised when I was late so I assumed that you followed me?""Yes, Dave said so," Arya answered.I knew it. This man had always been suspicious of me. What would I expect? Since day 1 he'd been annoyed by my existence and I
DAVEI found myself staring at the wall covered by vines. The glass cell brought me here and I am actually wondering why I couldn't even have a glimpse of my companions. Were they even here or am I alone in this puzzle-like structure?Instead of spending my time thinking of how I was brought here, I began my search for the exit. I believed the only way for me to win in this level was to escape from this maze. However, this was a group activity so I needed to look for those three. There must be some clues left here in order for us to leave this place and I needed to look for those while looking for my companions. Hitting two birds with one stone was the best way right now to accomplish things easily at the given time.I looked at my wrist watch. We still have three hours and fifty-four minutes before the end of the level. The clues might have been kept in the cell! Why didn't I think
DAVEI showed her the piece of paper. She just took it in my hand and examined it."Where did they get this?" she inquired in astonishment. I also wonder where they found it."They were able to find their other members immediately and they're even carrying a knife with them," she added. This place is just like a maze. The clue and weapons may be in the leader's cell. But I didn't get one. I didn't bother to look at my cell earlier. If so, someone has already got a clue in my cell."Would you mind to share what you're thinking?"I looked at her again. She already have an irritated look.“They got it in their leader’s cell,” I answered her questions."Eh, where's ours?""We're too late to realize it. Someone have it now. And that group has a unique strategy. Would you have thought that they are already completed in an instant? Too bad because that's the end of the game for them.""
DAVE"With clothes of greenAnd bark of a dog,Search me for the goods,I sleep like a log.""So this is what you're currently answering?" Arya asked as her eyes squinted at the paper where the riddle was printed.Reign explained to them everything we were doing and what had happened to us a while ago."I guess we're too slow," Chris commented with a sigh. He leaned on the wall and his eyes glazed over us.“That’s why we need to hurry, or else we won’t make it to the next level,” I told them, grabbing their attention. We couldn't risk getting left behind again. If Lopez and I were not able to pin down our opponent a while ago, there's a high chance that we would not be able to make it to the next level."The riddle is easy. What is one thing that can be connected to the descriptions on the paper?"
ARYA"Hand me some stones!"Quicker than the four o'clock, Chris handed the stones he had picked up to Zanaya after he heard her command. Dave was still in the maze fist fighting with our rival Academy's representatives. Zanaya was also trying her best to helped him escaped. She began throwing those stones to the participants from Reinwarts Academy. We could clearly see from where we stood how the Reinwarts people tortured Dave. He sustained wounds that I knew were really painful. We only have ten minutes left to get to the next level so Zanaya didn't hesitate to help Dave in the fight. He knocked one down immediately after he hit the man in the head. He couldn't kill him though, his opponent might just feel dizzy from the impact."Dave come on up!" I shouted at him when the countdown started. Panic was now rising into my veins as waited in bated breath for Dave to join us up
ARYA"Your dad is right. Arya should learn from her mistakes."I dropped the cutlery and stood up. I could no longer bring myself to listen at them. I was about to walk away when mom called my name."Arya, where do you think you're going?""Ventilate.""Don't turn your back at us when we're still talking to you!" my father said, his voice was booming in the room.I clenched my hands as I tried to calm my nerves before turning to them."Why can't you accept that I'm like this. My sister and I are different!""Don't raise your voice at your father.""I'm tired of you comparing me to my sister. I will succeed too in my own way," I added and all of a sudden, my outburst of emotion was making my chest feel lighter. It was as if I just let out a heavy object from my rib cage.I didn't realize that my tears were now flowing on my cheeks. Why am I in tears? This was not even true."Av
CHRISThe simulation test lasted for an hour and Zanaya even managed to take a nap. Luckily we were still part of the competition. Four groups have survived the second level and we were currently inside a room waiting for the third challenge. The wall of the room we were in was transparent so people could still watch us and we could see them. While waiting, I couldn’t help but look at the spectators."Chris, Ma'am Roque was there!" Arya pointed to the bleachers in the arena. I saw her immediately. Her bob cut hair wasn't that hard to spot. Arya was still waving at her, but our professor didn't seem to appreciate it as she just simply gave Arya a pointed look.I looked at some of our colleagues today. They all looked serious and determined to really win. But we would not allow ourselves to be defeated because this battle was for our academy."OMG! Old Dragona is here!" Arya exclaimed which even gathered some atte
