The Day of the Tournament (Part 2)

I cleared my throat to get their attention. They looked at me especially Dave who seemed annoyed again. By that look, I wanted to laugh at him. It's like one look at me would ruin his whole day.

"I didn't say anything to my cousin," I began. Dave just raised an eyebrow because of what I said.

I clasped my hands together and took a deep breath before I began an explanation that wasn't needed in the first place, but because of a nosy friend, I have to do this.

"It's true that I was just trying to get some fresh air then, but my cousin saw me and asked me to accompany him for his lunch, and so I agreed. Maybe you were surprised when I was late so I assumed that you followed me?"

"Yes, Dave said so," Arya answered.

I knew it. This man had always been suspicious of me. What would I expect? Since day 1 he'd been annoyed by my existence and I
