WHO IS HE?

Flashback : One Month ago,"I refuse to marry him," Rose said firmly. But instead of getting riled up, Daniel just stared back at her with a stoic expression."Aren't you up to your neck in debt Miss Rose? My brother is in love with you. He is capable of not only keeping you happy but also giving a better life to your family. I suggest that you think over your decision one more time" said his brother. Her hand balled in a fist. Those words just infuriated her more because she is anything but one of those greedy, helpless and dependent girls who are waiting for their knight in shining armor to save them from their misery but before she could retort back, Daniel replied sternly instead."Mason, don't do that. It should entirely be her decision and I will completely respect it if she refuses to marry a handicapped person like me. But yes, I would like to state it clear for once that if Rose decides to marry me, I would definitely treat her family as my own." She just stared back at him

Rose's point of view :The next day,On waking up, I was surprised to find myself alone in the bed. It's 8 in the morning and he wasn't back yet.As I walked out of the room, I heard some scrabbling noises from the kitchen. On Walking closer to an unfamiliar figure in my kitchen, I observed a blonde woman engulfed in scratching and rubbing something near the kitchen's sink."Hi, you must be Lucy, right? " I said standing behind her a few distance away. My voice made her stiff like a statue on her spot. She did not turn for a good few seconds. How can I not be suspicious then? Instead of acknowledging my presence, she is acting like a deer caught in the spotlight at the moment. Finally turning her head a little towards me, not completely, just slightly, she replied " Um hi. Yes, I am Lucy" of course i found it strange!"I did the dishes last night. So, what are you doing there?" I asked, curious as i tried peeking a little but couldn't see anything. Her body was covering the sink as

Next Day.Rose's point of view :Scene from the college,"He lied? Really?" Jessy asked again puzzled."Yes" I simply said."So, you mean to say that he just simply refused to accept that he carries some unique kind of knife around with him." She said again."Yes. He said I might have mistaken a pen as a knife. Can you believe him?" I told her."Did you?" I heard her asking back immediately then."WHAT?" I was bewildered by her response."I am sorry but it could be a possibility. Why would he carry a knife with him?" She replied back with a frown.I narrowed my eyes on her and said "Not you at least." "Okay. I am sorry. I didn't mean to imply that you are lying. But maybe....uh, you are mistaken." She replied with hesitation."Yes because I am that dumb, right?" I told her in a louder voice with a glare."Oh, come on! You don't have to get offended" she whines."You know what I don't want to talk about my weirdo husband especially not with you anymore" I said and with that moved to w

New Day.Rose's point of views:Scene from the college,Walking towards the table with our food tray in hands, I turned to look at Jessy only to find her staring back at me intensely."Why are you looking at me like that?" I asked her with a raised eyebrow"Like what?" She asked with a raised eyebrow."Like I have got horns on my head" I replied being annoyed and she just rolled her eyes at my comment."I am just curious." She replied with a shrug."About what?" I asked back."You did not mention a word about Daniel today. Is Everything finally okay in your life?" She asked back."Aren't you intringed?" I told her. "Can you blame me? Usually life after marriage is mostly all about romance for some but in your case my friend, it's a thriller-mystery.How ironically true that is!Sighing, I finally told her " Yes. Everything is fine." I cannot risk telling her for two reasons. Either she wouldn't believe me and would call it rubbish that would kind of discourage me to go against Danie

NEXT MORNING Rose's point of view: Scene from the dining area,"So, do you have plans to surprise me yet again today?" He asked after taking a sip from his coffee. With a playful smile, I leaned a little towards him and replied "Do you want me to?" His eyes crinkled. Shaking his head in a clear no he replied back in a strict tone like a parent "I want you to go straight to college today. No more bunking" I simply nodded like an obedient kid.He turned to leave pressing a button on his wheelchair while I just watched him leaving. It was pointless to stalk him today. Clearly, he is on high alert mode ''Sighing, I was about to leave for college when the phone rang.It was Jessy."Hi. I was just about to leave for college. What's so urgent?" Rose asked her."College is cancelled today, Rose. We are all now leaving for the funeral" she said in low voice and a gasp escaped my mouth out of shock.Funeral?I froze on my spot."Whose funeral?" I asked her back in a barely audible voice.
