"Really?" Lacey asked twirling her fork in Darin's bowl of pasta. "You think that's a good idea? Taking Shawna to prom?" She stood beside him.

"What about Diana?" She brought another fork full to her mouth.

       "Bradley and Christopher both want to take her. I was never going to. Besides, I think I should go with Shawna. She's been fun to play with so I'm giving her something she sort of wants."
