The very next day, Lacey stood beside her mother while she hurriedly  gathered her things from her reading table and dumped them in her black hand bag that matched her black pencil gown. "Mother, I want to ask you something."

    "What is it sweetness? I'm in a hurry, I'm almost late." She grabbed the bag and walked out of the room. Her shoes thumping as she moved, with Lacey trying to keep up beside her.

     "Ok. Umm..." She search for the right words. "Umm... Ok..."

"Spit it out Lacey I'm late." They started down the stairs.

      "Ok... Ok... Umm... London."

"London? Toni?"

      "Toni."

"Parents?"

      "She's asking."

"If they agree then we can dicuss it further."

      "Thank you." Lola took the bag from her and went out the door. Lucille chuckled. "What?" Lacey asked.
