Chapter 43: The Feelings of Confusion (2)

Daniel’s POV

My Wifey: What time are you getting home?

My phone buzzed while we were looking at Ryker’s company’s CCTV. We keep an eye on the deliveryman, who gives letters to the guard and sometimes to the front desk in the lobby. I immediately read my husband’s name when I saw it on the screen.

“Does she want to know when I’ll get home?’ I thought.

“What’s your opinion, sir?”

I looked at Javier, who was talking to me, but I didn’t understand what he was saying.

“I’m sorry, what?” I asked.

When Javier spoke again, the phone started vibrating again. Instead of listening to Javier, I looked at my phone and saw that Russell had sent me another text message.

My Wifey: I am waiting for you.

I took a deep breath. I did not reply to her first or second message.

“There is a pattern to how letters get delivered to you,” Javier said. I was a little surprised to hear her voice. “Each time is different, but there’s a pattern. I can deal with it, sir.”
