Chapter 91

I smiled at mom and dad before I sipped on my soup. I was just so happy to finally be eating with them again. I missed them so much and I couldn't be more thankful.

"I missed this, mom. I missed being just a child." A pinch of bitterness slit on my chest. "You know, life was easier when I was just seven years old."

"If only we can stay at that age, right?" Dad chuckled.

Mom smiled as she wiped her lips with a tissue. "Life gets a lot more meaningful when we're getting older. That's why it gets hard, it gets rough, because we know deep inside we have a purpose, and that purpose is never easy to achieve. It puts pressure on us. It could even kill us if we're not brave enough."

I smiled slightly. "Or we simply are just lost. Life puts too much pressure that sometimes we tend to forget what we really like deep inside our hearts. We tend to ask the question to ourselves, is this what I really like? Is this what I really am passionate about?"
