ARIA

The mahogany desk bit into my thighs, but the pain was a distant hum compared to the roar of Julian's breath against my skin. He didn't break the kiss; he deepened it, his tongue claiming my mouth with a territorial hunger that left me gasping.

"My room."

The words were a command, barely a whisper, vibrating against my lips.

He didn't wait for an answer. He gripped my wrist, his fingers locking like a cuff, and hauled me away from the desk. I stumbled after him, my silk wrap trailing behind me like a discarded skin. We moved through the house in a blur of shadows and silence, the air thick with a tension that felt like a physical weight. Every time his hand brushed my back or guided me around a corner, a fresh jolt of electricity sparked through my core.

He kicked open the door to his suite and pulled me inside, slamming it shut with a definitive thud that echoed through the hallway.

The room was a mirror of the man, minimalist, cold, and impeccably curated. Grey slate floors, charcoal walls, and a bed that looked like a monolith of white linen and obsidian wood. Floor-to-ceiling glass overlooked the ocean, the moonlight turning the Pacific into a sheet of hammered silver.

Julian didn't turn on the lights. He didn't need them. He spun me around, pinning my back against the closed door. His hands found the knot of my wrap, ripping the silk away in one violent motion. The fabric fluttered to the floor, leaving me in nothing but the thin, wet lace of my bikini.

"Look at you."

His voice was a low, guttural rasp. He stepped back just an inch, his grey eyes scanning me with a clinical, predatory intensity.

"Trembling. Starving. All for a man who doesn't give a damn about your rules."

I reached for him, my fingers clawing at the buttons of his polo. "Stop talking."

He caught my wrists in one hand, pinning them above my head against the wood of the door. He leaned in, his chest crushing my breasts, the scent of cedar and dominance enveloping me.

"No. I want you to hear it. I want you to remember exactly who is doing this to you."

He shifted his weight, his knee forcing its way between my thighs, pressing hard against the center of my heat. I arched my back, a strangled moan escaping my throat.

"Tell me, Aria. Does the good girl from Montana like being handled like this?"

"Yes," I whimpered, my head snapping back.

"Yes, what?"

"Yes... please." I cried with so much anticipation.

"Please what? Use your words. Tell me exactly what you want."

He ground his knee upward, a slow, agonizing friction that pushed me to the edge of a cliff. I was shaking, my breath coming in jagged, shallow bursts.

"I want you inside me. Now."

A dark, triumphant chuckle vibrated in his chest. He released my wrists, but before I could move, he gripped the waistband of my bikini and ripped it downward. The lace tore with a sharp snap, leaving me completely exposed in the moonlight.

He didn't waste time with gentleness. He stripped his clothes off with a practiced, efficient speed, his body emerging from the shadows; broad shoulders, a chest mapped with lean muscle, and a hardness that made my mouth go dry.

He grabbed my hips, hoisting me up. I wrapped my legs around his waist instinctively, my fingers digging into the corded muscle of his shoulders. He carried me a few steps to the bed and threw me onto the white linen. The impact was soft, but the intent was hard.

He climbed over me, his weight a welcome crushing force. He didn't kiss me this time. He pinned my arms beside my head and stared down at me, his eyes two shards of ice.

"You thought that boy at the club was a distraction?" He shifted, his hand sliding down my body, his fingers grazing the wetness between my thighs. "He was a toy. I'm the one who owns you."

He entered me in one powerful, unrelenting thrust.

I screamed, the sound muffled by the pillows, my entire body shuddering from the sheer fullness of him. It wasn't a gradual entry; it was an invasion. He froze for a second, his muscles coiled and tight, his forehead resting against mine.

"You're so tight," he groaned, his voice thick with a sudden, raw hunger. "Like you've been saving it all for me."

He began to move, and the pace was brutal. There was no rhythm, only a violent, driving force that hit my cervix with every stroke. The bed groaned under the weight of our collision, the white sheets twisting around our limbs.

"Tell me I'm better," he rasped, his voice dropping to a vulgar, commanding growl. "Tell me that little slut you were playing at the club is nothing compared to this."

"You're... you're better," I sobbed, my voice wrecked. "God, Julian... please."

"I'm not just better, Aria. I'm the only thing you're going to think about for the rest of the summer. Every time you look at Mika, every time you walk through this house, you're going to feel me inside you."

The dirty talk acted like fuel on a fire, stripping away the last remnants of my shame. I stopped fighting the taboo and leaned into it. I wanted the filth. I wanted the wrongness of it to consume me. I wrapped my legs tighter around his waist, pulling him deeper, urging him to break me.

"Harder," I whimpered. "Please, harder."

He obeyed. He shifted his grip, grabbing my thighs and pinning them back toward my chest, opening me up completely. The angle changed, the friction intensifying until I felt a white-hot coil winding tighter and tighter in the base of my stomach.

"That's it. Take it all," he groaned, his thrusts becoming shorter, faster, more desperate. "Take every inch of it, you little brat."

The world narrowed down to the sound of skin slapping against skin, the scent of sex and expensive cologne, and the sight of his grey eyes turning dark with a primal, unchecked lust.

I felt the snap first, a violent, electric explosion that radiated from my core to my fingertips. I cried out, my body arching off the bed, my internal muscles clamping around him in a rhythmic, pulsing release.

Julian let out a guttural roar, his entire frame stiffening. He surged into me one last time, driving himself as deep as possible, his body shuddering with a force that felt like an earthquake. He collapsed on top of me, his breath hot and ragged against my neck, his heart hammering a frantic rhythm against my ribs.

For a long time, neither of us spoke. The only sound was the distant crash of the Pacific and the synchronized heave of our lungs. The silence wasn't peaceful; it was heavy, laden with the weight of what we had just done.

He eventually rolled off me, his gaze lingering on my flushed skin and tangled hair. He didn't pull me close. He didn't whisper sweet nothings. He simply stood up and walked toward the bathroom, leaving me alone in the wreckage of the white sheets.

**

The morning arrived with a clinical, unforgiving brightness.

I woke up to the sound of a seagull screaming outside the window. The light was a harsh, blinding gold, illuminating every speck of dust dancing in the air. I shifted, and a sharp ache between my thighs reminded me exactly where I was.

I turned my head. Julian was fast asleep beside me, his face softened by slumber, the predatory edge gone. In the pale light of dawn, he looked almost human. His arm was flung across the pillow, his breathing slow and steady.

I stared at him, and the euphoria of the night before evaporated, replaced by a cold, sickening wave of guilt.

The images flashed through my mind: Mika's laughing face, her trust, her excitement about the system reset. I thought about the way she looked at her father, with a mix of awe and frustration, but always with a fundamental, familial love.

I had just desecrated that.

I didn't just have a one-night stand with a stranger. I had systematically dismantled the boundary between friendship and betrayal. I looked at the torn remnants of my bikini on the floor and felt a surge of self-loathing so potent it made my stomach churn.

I wasn't taking my body back. I wasn't finding myself. I was just a girl from a small town who had found a bigger, more dangerous kind of wreckage to dive into.

I slid out of the bed with agonizing slowness, trying not to wake him. My muscles protested, my body feeling heavy and used. I gathered my clothes, the silk wrap feeling like a shroud as I draped it over my shoulders.

I stood by the edge of the bed for a moment, looking down at the man who had spent the night breaking every rule I had ever known. I wanted to wake him up. I wanted to scream at him for making me want it. I wanted to ask him if he felt anything other than a sense of conquest.

But I knew the answer. Julian didn't feel guilty. He did business; he did control; he did ownership.

I stepped across the slate floor, my bare feet leaving faint prints. I reached the door and paused, my hand on the cool metal handle. I didn't look back.

I slipped out of the room and closed the door with a click so soft it was barely a sound.

As I walked down the hallway toward the guest room, the house felt different. The luxury felt oppressive, the white walls feeling like the walls of a very expensive prison. I could hear Mika in the kitchen, the clinking of silverware and the hum of the coffee maker.

I walked toward my room, my skin still humming with the ghost of his touch, feeling like a thief in my best friend's home. I had found the storm I was looking for, and as I stepped into the light of the guest room, I realized I was finally, completely underwater.

JULIANI woke up to a cold spot on the sheets and a lingering scent of vanilla and sweat. She'd bolted. The cowardice was predictable. Aria wanted to play the bad girl in the dark, but the second the sun hit the walls, she wanted to crawl back into her shell of Montana modesty.I didn't mind. The chase was better when the prey thought it had escaped.I stared at the ceiling, thinking about the look on her face last night, that mixture of terror and desperation. She was just another notch, another body to fill the void. I'd had a dozen like her over the years. Beautiful, hungry, and convinced they were special. They always thought they were the one to crack the ice. They never realized the ice was the only thing keeping the whole structure from collapsing. My old man had taught me that. He and my mother were the crown jewels of the social circuit, perfect smiles, coordinated outfits, the kind of marriage people wrote poems about. Behind the closed doors of our estate, it was a war zone

ARIAThe beach club was a sanctuary of bleached wood and white linen, perched precariously on a cliff that overlooked the churning Pacific. It didn't have a sign; it didn't need one. The guests arrived in matte-black SUVs and sleek European coupes, sliding into cabanas that cost more per day than my father's monthly mortgage back in Montana.Mika lounged on a plush cream sofa, her sunglasses reflecting the blinding midday sun. She sipped a drink topped with a sprig of mint and a slice of dragon fruit."My dad basically owns the shoreline," Mika leaned back, her voice humming with a casual arrogance. "The club last night? This place? He doesn't just build the houses, Aria; he owns the ground they sit on. He's got an empire of glass and steel from here to New York."I traced the condensation on my glass, the cold moisture slick against my skin."I didn't realize he was that... expansive.""Expansive is one word for it," Mika chuckled, adjusting the strap of her bikini. "Control freak is

ARIAThe skin of my shoulders burned from the sun, a tight, pulsing heat that made the walk back into the house feel like stepping into a refrigerator. I didn't bother with a towel, leaving a trail of damp footprints across the bleached hardwood. My mind was a chaotic loop of Julian's silhouette in the window, the way he'd looked at me, not as a guest, not as Mika's friend, but as something he intended to consume. The kitchen was silent, the air smelling of lemon polish and expensive espresso. I reached for a glass from the overhead cabinet, the glass clinking softly. I filled it from the fridge dispenser, the ice-cold water shocking my system, but it didn't extinguish the fire he'd lit from two stories up."Water doesn't usually cure that kind of thirst."I jumped, the glass nearly slipping from my hand. Julian stood in the archway, his arms crossed over his chest. He'd changed into a crisp white linen shirt, the sleeves rolled up to reveal forearms corded with muscle and a heavy sil

ARIAThe midday sun hammered down on the pool deck, turning the turquoise water into a shimmering mirror. I sprawled across a white lounge chair, the heat seeping through my bikini and baking my skin. A few yards away, the Pacific crashed against the shore in a rhythmic, guttural roar, sending a fine mist of salt into the air.Mika sat on the edge of the pool, her legs dangling in the water, kicking up small, crystalline splashes. She peered at me over the rim of her oversized sunglasses."You're still in your head. I can see the gears grinding from here."I shifted, the plastic of the lounger sticking to my thighs. "I'm just thinking.""Thinking is the enemy of a Malibu summer. Give it up. Tell me about the guy. Was he a ten? Did he have a boat? A secret penthouse? Give me something to work with."I closed my eyes, but the image of Julian, the grey eyes, the way he'd looked at me in the kitchen, burned through my eyelids."He was... complicated." I whispered."Complicated" is code fo

  • Tempted By My Best Friend's Billionaire Father   Chapter 2: Morning Secret

ARIAThe next morning arrived with a brutal brightness. The Malibu sun streamed through the floor-to-ceiling windows of the beach house, painting streaks of gold across the white linen sheets of the guest bed. I woke up feeling heavy, my muscles aching in a way that reminded me of exactly where I'd been the night before.I lay there for a moment, staring at the ceiling. The heartbreak wasn't gone. It was still there, a dull ache in the background, but the sharp, suffocating edge of it had blunted. The pact had worked. I had remembered how to feel something other than grief.I showered slowly, letting the hot water scrub the remnants of the club and the alley from my skin. I dressed in an oversized white t-shirt and a pair of denim shorts, my hair still damp and clinging to my neck.As I walked down the spiral staircase toward the kitchen, the smell of fresh coffee and sizzling bacon filled the air. I could hear Mika's voice, bright and energetic, echoing through the open floor plan."
