“Damn it!" Lucian cursed, quickly putting his gun away as he chased after Ava.

He halted and glared at Kayla with anger.

“Why the fuck did you let her inside?" Lucian's voice boomed through the house, filled with anger and frustration.

Kayla shivered in fear, trembling slightly.

“Don, I swear I tried to stop her but she didn’t agree!”. Kayla responded.

Lucian's piercing gaze bore into Kayla, his eyes filled with a mix of disappointment and anger. Without uttering another word, he turned on his heels and made his way upstairs.

As he reached his room, Lucian hesitated for a moment before slowly pushing the door open. His eyes were immediately drawn to Ava, curled up at the end of the bed, her body trembling with fear.

“Little rose!”. He called, walking towards her.

Lucian's heart sank as he watched Ava's trembling form before him. Her delicate frame seemed even smaller as she backed away from him, her eyes wide with terror.
