Ava woke up in Lucian's comforting embrace, feeling a throbbing pain in her head.

"Ouch." she groaned, unintentionally waking Lucian.

"What's the matter?." Lucian asked, his face filled with concern.

"My head is pounding.” she replied, wincing and holding her temples.

Lucian gently sat her up, reaching for a bottle nearby.

"Here, drink this." he said, opening the bottle for her.

Ava took a sip and grimaced. "What on earth is in this? It tastes awful!".

Lucian stared at Ava with worry. Vanessa had warned him about the side effects of erasing her memory, but he couldn't take the chance of her discovering his true identity as a wolf.

"Just try to relax for a bit.” he whispered, pulling her closer and offering comfort.
