LOGIN“Boss,” Monster called from the doorway. “We got visitors.”
Breed and Greer stood from the table.
“They are on horses of all things,” Monster added as he looked puzzled. “And they have a whole pack of horses with them.”
Breed looked upset. He then strode over toward the door.

Breed looked around and said, “We have to protect not only ourselves but also everyone here on Tarron’s Ridge. If that asshole is here, we need to find him before he hurts someone.”“You think he’s really here?” Greer asked.“I’m not taking any chances.” Breed nodded. “He wants Paige dead and if he knows Brian is here, he’ll probably kill him too. I don’t want that old man dead. Even if that would be the best thing for everyone, he’s screwed over. No, I want him behind bars so he’ll know the final humiliation that he so deserves. That alone might be all he ever does feel, but I want him to know that feeling. I want that old man to hear the cell door swing shut and know there’s not a damn thing he can do about it.” Suddenly, Breed frowned and looked around the room.
Slava stood outside the window. He could only assume the others had been killed by the MC but he wasn’t going to go out that way. He knew the time would come to make his final move but he also knew he would have to wait.So wait he would, wait and watch. He slipped into the woods and made his way through the trees. He didn’t meet anyone along the way but he knew there were eyes on him. He couldn’t see anyone but he knew they were there.Or at least something was there. He wasn’t altogether sure whatever was watching him was even human. He usually didn’t have such fanciful thoughts but whatever was watching him couldn’t be seen.
“We know Matt let Joey out of his cell and Joey was supposed to kill Brian,” Kizzy told Paige. “That was why we brought Brian here, so Joey couldn’t get to him,” Maverick added.Paige looked around. “Brian has been here? Matt too?”“Yes, we grabbed Brian up,” Breed answered her question. “After Matt and Joey left here, aiming to kill him or so we thought at the time.” He walked over to the door and yelled for Crow. When Crow arrived, Breed looked over at Paige and asked, “What was that name again?”“Slava Grushanin.”Turning back to Crow, he said, “I need any and all info you can dig up on this guy and a photo if you can find it.&r
Your grandfather filed everything,” Paige told Kizzy. “While I was going through his files, I ran across something dated fourteen years ago. It had your name in it along with the names of your parents and a man named Slava Grushanin. Who he is I have no idea but the file contained information on the car crash that left you orphaned. In that same file, I also found a warning from Slava to your grandfather.”Kizzy looked stunned. “What?” she barely whispered as she swayed. Breed reached out to stabilize her but didn’t interfere.“Apparently, Slava was being blackmailed by Mr. Williams and he didn’t like it one bit. Mr. Williams was threatening to go public with his name if he and his friends didn’t agree to become his own personal hit squad. Slava agreed to work with him on occasion but he wouldn’t put his life on hold for one man only. He had spoken to associates and they just laughed at his proposal. In the note to Mr. Williams, Slava told him if he continued with his ridiculous deman
Maverick tried to comfort her, “In this room, this clubhouse, and this compound, you are safe.”Paige studied him with her silver eyes. “Are you sure? I-I don’t want to die.”“I’m fucking positive.” He growled. “If that bastard wants to come here and start trouble, he’ll find he can’t push through us so easily. We’re the Tennessee Breeds MC.”Paige wanted to lean on him but she hesitated. She didn’t know why but she trusted him from the moment she opened her eyes. Most of the time she didn’t get close to anyone, she didn’t dare. Every time she did, something bad happened and she’d end up alone again. She had learned a long time ago not to depend on anyone else, so that way, there was no disappointment wh
“No we don’t but we do know they tasered her then shot her up with something to knock her out.” Maverick told Breed.“As I don’t know what they gave her, all we can do is wait until she comes around to talk to her,” Cowboy told them. “Which could be anywhere from five minutes to five days.”“I wonder if she’s connected to Brian Williams or something else the Russian’s had going on?” Breed put out there.“Maybe Kizzy would know if she’s connected to Brian,” Maverick suggested.Breed shrugged. “I can ask her.” He turned to go down the hall to collect Kizzy. When they returned a few minutes later, Kizzy took one look at the woman and gasped. “Oh, my God,” she whispered. “That’s Brian’s secretary.”Breed looked shocked. “His secretary?” He then glanced at his men. “Why would they want to take his secretary?”“With them, it’s hard to say.” Maverick shook his head. “We’ll have to wait and see if she comes back from wherever she is right now and ask her.”“Maybe she has information they want
Roslyn went on, “My father told me what was in the report he gave Brian Williams. I know what’s buried here. I also know he’s going to start frac mining in a few weeks, once the title for the land here is in his name.”
Charlie Moon nodded at him. “We have the right to protect these lands, nephew. We live here too.”Breed shook his head. “But I don’t want to put the tribe in danger like this. If Blade comes back
Monster groaned as he woke up.Gazing upward, he realized he was in a coffin. He blinked. He hated small spaces and always had. His head pounded as he tried to remember the very last thing that happened. A girl. No&hell
Turning back to his position on his stomach, Crow set his rifle onto the short tripod in front of him. They both waited to see how many Hades Messengers would arrive. The yard then filled up with at least a dozen. They rode in an arc like some god dammed Indians around a wagon circle. Monster huff
