Breed let out a low growl. “Rich bastards stepping on others and taking what is not theirs. Then another MC, my mortal enemy, yes. But they are known for their abuse of women and they are human traffickers as well. They have taken women from our area as well and you all know it. And that is what burns my hide. What if it were your sister or daughter they took to be a damned sex slave? So now, this all fell into our laps, on our land. We do what’s right here. Or are we not the men we say we are?”

The room went silent.

Breed let out a sigh. “We vote on it.” He gazed around. “Your vote won’t be held against you. All of you know this. You know me. You can stand with me on this or you can stand down.”

The men all looked at each other then back at the man that gave them their home, their place here in the MC that had accepted each of them, warts and all.

Greer waited a moment then stated loudly, “All who agree we go after these self-righteous bastards, say yay!”

The men all yelled, “Yay!”

Then Greer nodded. “Against…say Nay!”

The room went silent.

“Well then, let’s dig in until we can prove this one way or another.” Crow nodded.

His men gathered their gear and readied their weapons.

Cowboy gave them all burner phones and instructions on texting info back to the club.

Breed then watched his brothers take off. Four of them would go to Huntsville and two would go to Decatur to spy on Hade’s Messenger MC. Blade’s dad would roll over in his grave if he knew but that wasn’t his problem. He hoped he would in fact. Yeah, he felt bitter. He did wish he could get rid of it, but so far… he hadn’t been able to. It still burned like a simmering coal in his soul.

No, he didn’t care what other people thought or what they did. He didn’t give a shit about racism or being a half breed. He didn’t care as he was who he was and he actually felt proud of his Indian side. It wasn’t the being rejected as a teen either, his uncles had raised him well, and his grandad, Marah’s father had been a wonderful influence. No, he had a great upbringing. It wasn’t missing a father. He’d had several that taught him right from wrong and he had the tribe traditions that helped him along.

It was what had been done to his mother and what Jared had tried to do, years later that fueled his bitterness. Blade couldn’t be a brother to him, not with the darkness that man had inside. He’d inherited it from Jared apparently. What kind of man beats on women? Or sells them at 13 to the highest bidder. Not a man at all. Blade had never been the kind of man that Breed would want to call a brother. He would end up in prison or dead someday and Breed would not bat a fucking eye either.

No, he hadn’t involved his MC for frivolous grudges or his own personal rant. No, he was sick of the shit that was happening. Yes, Blade operated in the next state over but there were missing women from this area that he’d felt went into that skin trade. He could not prove it but the last one was a young girl from his tribe. His family on his mother’s side had been looking for her. Shyla Foxx. He himself had joined in the search. Some said that since she was now 21 that she took off with some guy. Breed knew better, for one she had no boyfriend and she loved her family dearly. It made him feel sick to think of what she might be going through even now. The police refused to take it seriously at all.

He did send out his best men today though and they knew better than to get caught. They also knew if they were caught, Blade wouldn’t have any mercy, not that they would ask for it but they knew it all the same.

Blade figured with surprise on their side, they might get ahead of this game. Breed wanted to stop this trafficking ring and had for over a year now. This might be his chance to do just that. He might not be able to return Shyla to the family but he could stop it from happening to any other families.

Breed walked down the hall and entered Cowboy’s clinic. Kizzy was asleep and he knew she needed her rest to heal but he wanted to talk to her. He sat down in the chair that he’d dragged as close to the bed as possible. He studied her face while she slept. He got to know the curve of her face and the arch of her brow.

She no longer had the IV in and he was glad about that. Another thing he was happy to see was that her breathing seemed to be better. She was no longer struggling to breathe. Maybe her ribs weren’t fractured after all.

He hoped that Crow would have some answers for them tomorrow. Something to get them started anyway. They had a job to do if they were going to stop Joey and set up Brian. Kizzy hadn’t deserved what Brian did to her and while they couldn’t go back and change her past, they might be able to get justice for her future. He also wanted to bust Blade in his dealings, especially the trafficking. He could not save the ones that had been taken already, but he could stop the man from taking any more.

Breed laid his head back with a tired sigh. Closing his eyes, he allowed the weariness wash over him. He fell asleep in minutes.

“So how do we stop a man with his kind of power?” Greer wanted to know.“We cut him off at the knees and watch him bleed,” Kizzy stated.“And I know just how to do it,” Roslyn added.“How?” Breed asked.“We publish my father’s report,” Roslyn stated. “Then we add that the land actually belongs to the Cherokee tribe that lives here and that Brian Williams is trying to steal something that doesn’t belong to him. That would put him into a show me attitude and he would have to prove his claims.”“Something like that would put off the sale of the land as we

Roslyn went on, “My father told me what was in the report he gave Brian Williams. I know what’s buried here. I also know he’s going to start frac mining in a few weeks, once the title for the land here is in his name.”One of the men from the tribe stepped forward, the one Breed called Uncle Charlie. “He cannot get the title. This is Indian land, we own this land and have for over a hundred years,” Charlie told her.Roslyn shook her head. “That’s just it, it isn’t Indian land. You may live here but the land was never set aside exclusively for your tribe. Believe me, Brain tends to prove it before he comes in with his sand blasters to strip the land of everything.”Breed turned to face Matt. “Is she telling the truth about the land?”

Charlie Moon nodded at him. “We have the right to protect these lands, nephew. We live here too.”Breed shook his head. “But I don’t want to put the tribe in danger like this. If Blade comes back, he’ll bring more men with him. This little stunt might have been your declaration of war on a pissant that won’t take no for an answer. It’s been two days and he’s had time to gather more troops.”Charlie sneered. “I don’t think that coward will be back. He ran like a baby for the safety of home and his mama’s titties.”Breed was about to say something when one of the wounded men called out, “We need medical help here, you fuckers. We've been here for days and we’re bleeding all over the ground.”

Monster groaned as he woke up.Gazing upward, he realized he was in a coffin. He blinked. He hated small spaces and always had. His head pounded as he tried to remember the very last thing that happened. A girl. No… a woman. He was hanging by his feet…He felt suffocated again, as he gazed up at some brown material. His breathing grew faster and he roared as he flung his arms up and scrambled to his feet.Bursting through the material, he soon realized that it wasn’t a coffin.“Hey!” a shout came from nearby. He looked over to see the same young woman from before. She dropped firewood near a stone circle, then turned to glare at him. “You tore

“How the hell would I know?” Blade retorted as he looked down at his wound. “I wasn’t expecting it either.”“Is this an MC or a fucking joke?” another man commented. “We came here a dozen strong and now we’re down to seven.”“Yeah, you told us we could ride in here without anyone fighting back,” another of his men bitched. “You said this MC would be weak against our brand of fighting. You never told us they were protected by Indians with arrows. We lost almost half our fucking men.”

Turning back to his position on his stomach, Crow set his rifle onto the short tripod in front of him. They both waited to see how many Hades Messengers would arrive. The yard then filled up with at least a dozen. They rode in an arc like some god dammed Indians around a wagon circle. Monster huffed. “Stupid assholes. Not even enough men to—” Now, he saw the Molotovs in their hands. He raised his rifle and focused his scope.Suddenly, the air filled with something that blurred his vision. He pulled his eye away from his scope. “What the?”Arrows came out of nowhere hitting the men on the cycles. Some dropped their lit cocktails and were on fire as they fell from their bikes with an arrow through them.Crow bolted upright. “Arrows?”Monster nodded, as he didn’t even get to take a shot. He grabbed his nocs. “Let’s fucking hope…” He passed his nocs around the yard. There! It was Blade himself. Funny, he looked a lot like Breed, just bigger and paler. He had an arrow through his shoulder
