Chapter 17 The White Demon Lycan

True to his word, Ajax got me permission to go with him to see the Lycan. The next day, Ajax was already taking me to the farthest, most heavily guarded building on campus. Based on the map of the school, I think it is one of the three main strongholds where hunters often rest.

On my own, I don’t think that I would be able to get to Max if I didn’t fight, but that would mean revealing myself as a wolf.

“Ajax, Belle!” Indigo waves us over while we wait and chat with a few of the guards standing outside of the building. “What took you two so long?” He wonders before a teasing grin spreads across his lips. “You two did not head of somewhere to have some along time, did you?”

“Just the cafeteria.” Ajax responds plainly, jerking his thumb in my direction. “She was taking her sweet time eating.”

“But it’s toast Tuesday for breakfast!” I defended myself. “You can’t miss out on French toasts!”

Ajax gives me an annoyed look. “It’s just toast.”
