“What about the lycans?” I decided to push past my nervousness and ask for more information about the topic. Who knows? Maybe I am just overthinking things. If they were suspective something, they wouldn’t be sitting before mein such a relaxed manner.

“I don’t know if you heard of this, but lately, the lycans have been seen lurking around our borders more so than usual.” Lizzen informs me as her eyes briefly dart towards where Max is sitting. “We believe that it has something to do with him being the son of the lycan and all.”

“I-I see. So that’s the reason.” My words has cause Lizzen to turn toward me with curious gaze.

“Strange. You’re not surprised about this. Did you know that he’s the son of the lycan alpha?”
