RIP mama.

You never got to see your little Warren all grown up. Well, grown up wasn't the term I would use for myself.

All those months carrying a baby in hopes of holding him in your arms, wasted. Well, not wasted but beneath everything that's messed up in my life, I know I'll live if not for anything but for the person who gave up her life for my sake.

You missed my first words, first steps, first mischiefs, first falls, first fights, you missed the first half of my life but life as they say, must go on.

Sun beating down on your headstone, I wonder if it blinds and annoys you as much as it does me.

Dust devils swirling with the summer wind around us. Birds chirping happily unaware of your state.

"I can't believe dad didn't remember today. " I utter in disbelieve with a shake of my head.
