3 - Falling in Love

Hunt.

“I told you not to flirt with me when we're training," I told Andrea after she missed her sidekick to my left.

“Oh really?! You're so cute when you tried to be serious." Andrea mocked me with her seducing whisper while already lowering her center ready to give another kick.

That was it! I couldn't take it anymore, so I moved fast and pinned her to the wall while saying, "You ARE the death of me, Andrea," I growled so low and kissed her fiercely while she welcomed me with both her arms on her head. Her body was ready for my hands to trail every inch of her skin.

I couldn't remember how we got here. How in the end, Andrea Nasriantra from the second Beta clan of Nasriantra ended up being hooked with me, Hunt Gursala from the first Beta clan Gursala who guarded the city of werewolves, Liberty City.

Amazed by her struggles, Andrea was nothing like a mere Luna from Liberty City. In appearance, she was different because she had glowing gold eyes, just like mine. Our eyes might be the clue that we were destined to be together. I knew it since the first day I laid my eyes on her.

She was my mate, my forever Luna.

Though our job as warriors wasn't about mating and raising pups. I believed one day, that day would come. Though I didn't know maybe two or three hundred years from now since we, werewolves could live forever as long as we kept on shifting and maintained our wolves strong.

She was just perfect, a badass she-wolf that could challenge Esmeralda without being afraid of getting killed. Even other male warriors were afraid at times Esmeralda went berserk because they believed she was the descendant of Aife, the great war she-wolf who was said to be ten times stronger than Alphas and was as beautiful as the Moon Goddess herself.

Indeed Esmeralda had both qualities as being strong and beautiful, but Andrea was something else. She didn't feel intimidated at all by the belief that Esmeralda was a direct descendant of Aife. Andrea just didn't care, and she just kept on trying to be the best.

That added to the classic beauty Andrea was. A blond, lean body, with gold eyes. An opposite beauty of the sexy Esmeralda who had a plump body with black hair and green eyes. To me, Esmeralda was just a typical she-wolf like other Lunas in Liberty City.

What was appealing to me about Andrea's struggles as she had been through anything. From being left alone in her Nasriantra clan for a while by her only Alpha, her father lost her mom to death, was thrown to the street by her spouse just to raise that bastard male wolf's clan name, and then ended up registering to be a warrior trained by the Gursala clan.

It wasn't an easy task as well to be able to be Esmeralda's opponent in a fight. Andrea at least had to get through many kinds of training as certain functions in a pack rank. But her strong will, I believed, was because he was a Nasriantra, the real warriors who were brave enough to eradicate the rogue werewolves outside Liberty City. 

But I'd never forget the first day I met Andrea at the registration desk. I thought she was applying to be a Salutary because she was at the top of the class along with her best friend, Joe Akhmedov. Though I didn't know everyone in Liberty City, at least I tried to know them but my being busy in the Force prevented me from knowing the lovely citizens of Liberty City.

Too bad Andrea couldn't finish her Salutary education that rumor had it she was drained to be poor by her former spouse, Tobias from the Edmund clan. If I weren't in the Force, I'd torture and kill Tobias right away for taking advantage of a she-wolf like that. Unfortunately, I was in law enforcement which meant I had to protect the citizen of Liberty City. Though the citizen was a bad one. As long as he didn't physically abuse Andrea, then there was nothing I could do to defend Andrea from being humiliated.

At least here in the Force, I could protect her.

It was the feeling I had since the day I met her. That I had the urge to protect her all the time. though now I knew that Andrea didn't need my protection since she could face Esmeralda, and thrived being a great warrior in the Force.

No, I remembered all the training Andrea had since she applied to be a warrior. I was wrong that I thought it would be a great addition that a Salutary like Andrea would be beneficial for the werewolf Force.

I was wrong because Andrea was more than merely a Salutary. She started from the lowest rank in the pack. 

On probation, she started as an Omega that took care of the pups. Pups were the werewolves who just turned into and finally knew their wolf's form. They ranged in the teen ages which was difficult to handle. Only Alpha like I was, turned when I was ten years old and Alphas already had the instinct to handle matters and calmed the pack easily.

Since Andrea was in Salutary education, it was easy for her to handle the pups as handling people from young, teenagers, until elders, was the basic knowledge a Salutary must have. So it was easy for her to pass the Omega probation. 

Passing the Omega probation, Andrea didn't have problems being the Guardian, as Guardian was a major subject before she could take the Salutary education. Guardians had to take care of the ill, wounded werewolves and tend to the elders. Once again, her education in the Salutary institute brought her to pass this Guardian phase.   

She finally showed her determination of wanted to be more than just a healer when she was in the Scout's training. If the usual Scout applicants had to train twice a day, I caught her sometimes she trained at the night. I fell in love with her firm figure. She was a beauty inside and outside, as expected from the one from the Nasriantra clan. 

Those nights were the nights I got closer to Andrea as I helped her to train. And since that day, we always found a way to train together. It wasn’t our intention to train when no one was around, but we managed to have the time together when everyone was sleeping.

Even more, I had support from Esmeralda said,

“You’re helping her to train each night, aren’t you?”

I thought she was going berserk when she found out that I was helping one of the apprentices. But to my surprise, Esmeralda seemed to agree with what I had been doing.

“I give you my blessings to train her. Prepare her well. One day she should face me and we can see how strong a Nasriantra she-wolf can be. Deal?”

“Your wish is my command, lady general,” I said with determination. Not just her, I would want to see how good Andrea could be. But after that, we chuckled. She always laughed at my calling her ‘Lady General’.

“You should stop calling me that.” She pointed at me while still smiling so wide.

“Why?” I asked her innocently.

“It’s ticklish.” Then we laughed again. Esmeralda was more like a sister to me since I couldn’t feel attracted to her. I just didn’t know why I couldn’t be seduced by her inviting figure. Deep down I knew, that Esmeralda wasn’t my mate.

I knew more for sure after I met Andrea as well. The feeling of finding a true mate was so strong when I saw Andrea for the first time, and an addition was her glowing gold eyes as if her eyes are my twin.

With Esmeralda’s blessings, it became so easy for me to make Andrea the best in the classes of hunters, sentinels, and deltas and she was on her way to be the Beta. She finally would face Esmeralda to claim her Beta rank.

I was in love with her because of her persistence to be a great warrior, besides her gorgeous feature and magnificent gold eyes.
