"It's getting more complicated now, why do you never think before you speak? Can you at least discuss it with me before?" said Rachel walking back and forth in their bedroom.

"What's so complicated about it? Your parents think you're pregnant, shouldn't granny think the same?" said Nicholas, lying on the bed staring up at the ceiling. "Calm down, Rachel, you're always overreacting over everything," he added, looking at Rachel while yawning widely.

"It's easy for you to say that but how are we going to explain to them later that the pregnancy never really existed? It will disappoint everyone, even just thinking about it makes my stomach hurt," said Rachel, who couldn't erase her fear.

"We'll think about that later, don't you feel tired because I'm so sleepy right now..."

Rachel took a deep breath, she turned to Nicholas and saw that he was fast asleep. "Really? How could he be so calm in such a situation?" She muttered, annoyed. She walked closer to the bed and looked at that handsome

  • The Accidental Wife   Before The Wedding

Rachel rubbed her skin gently, letting the warm bathwater seep into every tired muscle of her body. The scent of lavender soap drifted through the bathroom, calming her nerves little by little. She closed her eyes, letting the steam rise around her like a soft veil. A glass of chilled white wine sat on the edge of the tub, and she took small sips between sighs. Soaking like this was the only thing keeping her sane at the moment. Her wedding day—their wedding day—was only hours away.It should have been a magical feeling, something thrilling and beautiful. But instead, her mind was tangled like a yarn ball thrown into a hurricane. Confusion, sadness, excitement, and dread made a chaotic mix inside her chest, and no warm bath or glass of wine could fully soothe it.She glanced at the digital clock on the nightstand outside the bathroom door and blinked.8:00 p.m.Had she really been soaking for nearly an hour? No wonder her fingers were wrinkled, her throat dry, and her stomach grumblin

  • The Accidental Wife   Don't Love Me

“Of course that’s not gonna happen!” Rachel replied with an airy laugh, patting Nicholas on the back as if his harsh words hadn’t stung her at all. Her heart felt like it had been pricked with needles, but she forced the brightest smile she could manage. Then suddenly—“Stop! Stop!” she blurted.Nicholas froze mid-step, startled. “What now?”She quickly jumped off his back and stood beside him, breathless. “I left my phone in the pavilion!” she said in a panic, as if the world were ending.Nicholas snorted in disbelief. “Sloppy Rachel. Always.”“You don’t need to come with me,” she added quickly, waving her hands. “Just go back to the mansion. I’ll take it myself.”Nicholas narrowed his eyes with suspicion. “Why?”Rachel gulped, trying to think of something, anything, that wouldn’t sound like a lie. Just when she opened her mouth, she heard a voice from afar.A maid was waving. “Mr. Anthony! Granny is looking for you!”Nicholas glanced between Rachel and the maid. His suspicion didn’t

  • The Accidental Wife   Naked

“What do you mean?” Rachel asked, raising one eyebrow skeptically.Nicholas didn’t hesitate. “Take off your clothes. I’m going to paint you, completely naked, not a single thread covering your body. Think of it as a wedding gift from me,” he said lightly, as if he’d just asked her to pass the salt.Rachel gulped. Her mind froze for one solid second. “What’s the matter with you? Are you possessed by the spirit of Jack from Titanic?” she teased, hoping he was joking, or at least half-joking.“Ha ha, not funny at all!” Nicholas snorted. “Do you want to do it or not? Before I change my mind.” His hands were already rummaging through a drawer, taking out brushes, tubes of paint, and sketching charcoal.Rachel stood stiffly in front of him. Even though they had slept together multiple times, this felt entirely different. Being naked for fun was one thing. Being naked to be observed for hours—inspected, studied, captured—was a whole new world of vulnerability. Her confidence wavered.“I… um…

  • The Accidental Wife   Take Off Your Clothes

Rachel had been quietly observing Nicholas’ strange behavior ever since her mother told him about Catherine Belford’s rebuttal interview schedule. It was supposed to be an exciting moment—something they had both silently waited for, something that would give Nicholas the justice he deserved after being humiliated by Julia’s lies. Rachel had imagined Nicholas reacting with relief or at least some sort of curiosity. But instead, he simply curled up under the blanket after taking a warm soak, as if the news had nothing to do with him.She tried to understand it. Maybe he was exhausted? Maybe the entire ordeal from his childhood up until now was weighing far too heavily on him? Or perhaps he simply didn’t want to relive his painful story on national television for millions to dissect.Rachel took a slow breath. She herself wanted to watch the interview as soon as it aired on ABC, but Nicholas’ reluctance made her hesitate. It felt wrong to sit excitedly in front of the screen while he lay

  • The Accidental Wife   Secret Mission

"Are you kidding me? Fifty thousand dollars for telling the truth? I'm sorry Dr. Belford but I don't have that much money," said Rachel desperately. She could hear Catherine Belford laughing on the other side, "You are Nicholas Anthony's fiance! You're about to marry him in days and now you're telling me that you don't have that amount?"Rachel let out a long sigh,"Dr. Belford, I'm not the one who owned the money, you've read the news, isn't that clear enough? I don't have that much money I swear to God! So please, be kind, you're a doctor after all!" said her in disbelief. There was a long silence between them until finally, "Okay, just give me half of it, twenty-five thousand will be fine," it seemed like Catherine Belford still hoping that Rachel would say yes at last but she was wrong."I don't have that money, Dr. Belford, I know it sounds bulshit but I only have ten thousand dollars in my account, do you wanna take it or not?" she massaged her forehead, feeling dizzy because th

  • The Accidental Wife   The Psychiatrist

That night she returned to her room with a cup of hot black coffee in her hand, determined to find Catherine Belford no matter what and do something to help Nicholas to clear his name. She could understand the trauma that he had been through so it was difficult for him to trust in 'love' and a real relationship with another woman.Julia had successfully destroyed a man who has just been trying to wake up from his nightmare, Rachel's job was to restore Nicholas' trust in something called love so that he would not end up alone in the world, well even if she was not the one who would be his life partner, it doesn't matter to her.she sat down in front of the computer and started typing the name Catherine Belford - Psychiatrist. There were several articles that appeared and as if everything has been arranged by nature, one of them wrote about the disaster experienced by little Nicholas Anthony. She rushed to research all of them one by one, but no one said where the psychiatrist was at th
