Chapter 2

Deeply sighed.

On a quiet and dark road with only a flickering light.

A man is walking.

Tiredness can be seen on its face, due to overwork. How Jace's co -workers manage to enslave him just because he's new to the job. but he could not complain, there was no one to help him.

He chose to walk on the shortcut road closer to his house then a growl was heard.

"Is that a dog?" The man asked himself. Using the light of his cellphone he searched for where the growl was coming from. And he finally saw it.

A Husky ...

He quickly approached it out of pity.

"Oh, poor cutie." He said but the dog was unconscious.

The man arrived at his house with the wounded Husky. He cleaned the wound, and as he bandaged it the dog woke up.

"It's good you woke up, Cutie."

Happy.

That's the only thing the man feels now because he already has a dog. He carried it onto the CR and placed it in the bathtub.

The man gave the Dog a light caress, a soft grip, and a very careful bath.

"Done, you're clean and fragrant now!" lively and cheerful statement of the man to the dog. He picked it up and dried it. After all that happened today, the man no longer felt tired, all he feels now is the joy in his heart.

The man immediately  prepared some foods.

"Oh, eat this Cutie. It'll be easier for your wound to heal." Jace said while smiling and patting the dog's head.

He yawned...

“Tomorrow will be a big day. Huh.” Jace spoke to himself, shrugging.

The man didn't think he would have a dog that easily, he had wanted to buy a husky for a long time but his money  is still not enough to buy one, so he didn't hesitate to take home the beautiful husky he saw on the street tonight.

 “Ding——”

The alarm rang.

The man quickly opened his eyes and came out.

He smiled when he saw the husky sleeping sound on the small sofa.

Because of the presence of the dog, Jace no longer thinks he was alone.

Ever since he was a child, he has been living on his own, his parents died early and he never saw their faces.

There was an old woman who took care of him but the old woman also died when Jace finished elementary school. If something comes into his life, it will go away immediately, so sometimes he just doesn't want to hope that something will last in his life. He thought that maybe if a dog was with him it would never leave him.

As others have said, the dog is man's friend, so that's how happy he is to be given the opportunity to have a pet.

This morning he was busy so he just thought of leaving the dog with his friend, he only has one friend but he is satisfied with it. The friend understands him and even supports Jace in everything. Once again, it was his friend who spending for him when he was nothing.

After they ate they started walking towards Jace’s friend’s shop. but as they were walking all of a sudden,

the dog slipped out of his grasp and ran away!

He decided to chase the dog but someone held his arm.

The grip was so tight that it seemed to want to break his bone!

"Where are you going?" A man asked,he immediately felt horrified .

He didn't know why but his whole body was shaking, Jace couldn't move his body no matter how he tried.

More to that, the guy is not alone! There are three men standing around him.

He could already feel the pain in his arm from the man's grip on it, but he didn't know what to do to escape in this kind of situation.

The man raised his hand to hit him but he saw the dog rushing to the man.

"F*ck! Don't bite me, you f*ck*ng dog!" The man hissed, The pain from the bite linger in his legs.

Suddenly the other two fell down It was as if they were choking and they could not even breathe.

Clever's pheromones are too strong that make the men couldn't move at all.

"F*ck*ng b*st*rds, I'm gonna kill all of you. Who gave you the permission to hurt him." This what Clever wanted to shout.  But before he do something, someone pulled him to run.

The man...

Clever could clearly see the fear on the man's face but this man still managed to remember him when trying to escape for their life.

"Ha! If he's not stupid, why even think the dog first before his own life." Clever said in his mind.

They were both out of breath when they arrived at a Petshop, they entered and were immediately

"Hey!" Greeted by the man and smiled to Jace.

Clever's eye and the other man's eye met. There's annoyance running to Clever veins that time.

"This is the dog I'm telling you, I'll leave him here first and I'll come back later." Smiling Jace said to the friend.

Then the man took his eyes off Clever and turned to Jace, he smiled at Jace and nodded.

"All right, I'll take care of your dog." Clever's tongue flipped. The special treatment to Jace make him annoyed, it seems like it's ready to hurt Clever when they're eyes met, but when it comes to Jace, the man like a puppy obedient to his owner.

"Thank you! You’re my savior as always!" Delighted Jace said, then the man looked to the husky who tried him to leave.

"Oh, I'll be right back later, Cutie." He said to the dog.

The Alpha doesn't know why he stopped Jace, maybe he's still worried because there might be men followed to jace again.

Jace's friend immediately pulled the rope around Clever's neck.

Annoyed...

Clever turned to the man and immediately released pheromones, but it seemed to have no effect on the man and the man tied him to a pole.

"Hey, little puppy. Don't move or make noise huh? Your owner will come back later." The man smiled and left them with the other dogs. He was not surprised if his pheromones had no effect on the man, it could be just a normal person or a beta.

Bored Alpha.

He can't do anything in this form added to this he was sick of the dogfood he could see all around, he could smell it swirling around.

"Argh! When will I be back to normal!" Clever complained to himself.

Then a couple entered the shop, they brought some dogfoods and dog tags.

"Look! a husky, it's so cute." The girl giggles when she saw the Alpha, but before she can petted it the Husky roared.

"Don't touch me! Who do you think you are to touch me?! You're not even that cute like Jace!" The Alpha. Mumbled.

An hour passed ...

Two hours....

Three ...

Four ..

Clever can heard the click of the clock.

But, he immediately stood up when he finally smelled a familiar odor.

"It's Jace!" Clever shouted to his mind.

When the man entered, Clever's excitement immediately disappeared when the first thing Jace greeted and smiled at was not him.

"Ha! After he leaves me here for a few hours, will he greet someone else first ?!" said Clever disgusted and went back to lying down and turned a blind eye.

Eventually he felt Jace's presence beside him.

Clever can smell the alcohol in Jace's breath.

"Hey cutie! I'm back, come on and let's go home." The man gently called to Clever but Clever didn't even move or look at Jace.

Clever doesn't know why he feels this way, disgusted for no apparent reason.

Why didn't Jace approach him right away? Did clever just think the man was happy that he had a dog?

Dog ?!

When did Clever admit to himself that he was a dog!

sullenly Clever opened his eyes and a smiling face was the first thing he saw. Even though he wanted to be angry for a long time, it was as if all his annoyance had melted away.

"What is happening to me?" The Alpha felt a cold sweat in his forehead.

Is it a side effect of the medicine injected into him?
