A Big Change

*Unknown POV*

I sat at my desk having hung up the phone. It seemed I had a huge problem. My daughter Charlie had found herself in a world I had hid her from. Charlie had no idea who she was and what was now going to unfold. I knew the moon goddess was behind this but it didn't make me feel any better. I gave orders for my daughters gaurd Danny to find out more about this Emmett who claimed to be the Pearl Moon Pack Alpha's son. It appeared the spell I had the covens place on my daughter binding her wolf was now under threat. I now knew a war was looming and my daughter was going to be in the middle of it, centuries of hiding the the Celtic Crescent Moon Pack were about to be undone.

** Emmett POV ***

Keeping my hands off Charlie was impossible on finding out she was a virgin I considered in that moment not taking her virginity but Titan wouldn't allow it and my own heart and desire needed her. I had never felt anything like the passion I felt with her. I burned for her. I had made love to her daily since the first night and I was now facing my biggest challenge tomorrow I had to return to the territory by order of my father.

"I can't believe its our last night" she sighed lying naked in my arms. Her lips close enough to my chest that her breath sent tickling electric shocks through me.

My heart silently beat pangs of pain.

Titan howled at her words.

"Turn her" he boldly cried. "Mark her" Titan demanded.

"I can't, I won't! she could die and she still may not be my mate"

He paced in my mind. Over and back

"we are from the Alpha blood line I can feel it this girl was born to be a wolf" he growled at me.

" She is born human and my love for her is too much to risk her death in turning her. I will leave her as I found her such is my love. I'd rather be in pain and have her live" I replied

The wolf in my mind paused and sniggered

" You've mated her, taken her precious Virginity and purity. You are not leaving her as you found her"

" That was my selfish desires and I will forever cherish that she gave me that but it will not stop her moving on with a human man"

The thought of another man even a human man being with her angered Titan he snarled and I forced him back into the shadows of my mind and addressed Charlie kissing the top of her head and taking in the lush green apple shampoo scent that lingered on her brown hair.

" I know Charlie but we both knew this as horrible as it is now." I said "It was a two week deal"

"I know I just never thought ...." she caught herself and blushed whilst tracing a finger lightly over my chest.

I grabbed her hand and my lips brushed her fingers in a light kiss.

"Never thought what?" I asked.

"I'm aware what I am about to say next makes me insane" she began as she pulled herself up onto her elbow so she was looking at me with her emerald green eyes. "I never felt this way about anyone. I think I was falling in love with you Emmett " she trailled off embarrassed.

My whole body stiffened

"Dont be embarrassed baby" I replied "I feel the same" I admitted as I pulled her down to me in a kiss. "I'm going to make love to you all night my Goddess and then we'll worry about goodbyes" I growled pushing it out of my mind.

After a steamy shower and a heart wrenching goodbye I left Charlie's apartment and got into the waiting car.

"Alright Alpha" Adam asked as I settled myself into the car "I got that information you wanted" he added handing me an envelope. I nodded and opened it up. Inside was a picture of that werewolf that was friends with Charlie and a print out of information.

"It appears he's been in the city as long as Charlie has. I was unable to find any pack connection he seems to be a lone wolf.. He lives in the city here doesn't really leave for any period of time at all. He has a few friends and keeps to himself. It looks like his being friends with Charlie is pure chance." Adam summarised.

"Hmmm" I thought out loud.

"With all due respect Emmett, she's human and your fling is over. We have duties to attend to. Charlie is no longer your concern." He replied.

I sighed and suppressed my anger "Your right I just needed to know I was leaving her safe." I muttered.

"Emmett we grew up together I've watched you f*ck she wolves, have flings and give into your wolf desires what makes this human different?" He asked.

"Her name is Charlie" I snapped

"And by our laws she is human and cannot by nature be your mate. Our future Luna and your mate is still out there. So get yourself together and act like the Alphas son." Adam snarled back.

Titan stirred in my mind anger seething from him.

Adams wolf Idol stood snarling.

Rick turned himself around in the front passenger seat.

"I suggested you two cool off, anyone who shape shifts in this car will answer to Alpha Williams. Do I make myself clear." Rick warned.

I began to open my mouth to address him. Rick's inner wolf beat me too it.

"Your not the Alpha yet we work on Alpha Williams command." He snarled.

I flashed eyes at Adam and threw myself back in my seat. Adams body posture also deflated.

***Charlie POV ***

It had been a couple of weeks since I was forced to say goodbye to Emmett and I was still missing him terribly we texted each other but I tried hard to keep it to a minimum and he seemed to be doing the same. Sasha was waiting for me when I entered the bar for my late night shift.

"Hey there." She smiled "You still missing Emmett?" She added taking in my facial expression.

"A little but mostly I just feel unwell" I muttered.

"Unwell?" She repeated.

"Just tired and drained maybe I'm a little down" I sighed hanging up my coat.

Sasha grabbed a bottle of tequila and poured two shots, she placed salt and a lemon wedge in my hand. "A pick me up shot" she urged. "Drink"

The smell of tequila hit me first and my stomach flipped as I rushed from behind the bar and puked my guts up in the mop bucket.

"Shit" I muttered wiping my mouth with a tissue.

"Maybe you should go home?" Sasha said from behind me. "I'll cover you."

"No I'm fine" I answered straightening up. "I'm good" I flashed her a smile.

"Charlie?" She looked worried as i washed my hands in the bar sink.

"Sasha I am fine. Let's get back to work before there's a riot at the bar." I answered pushing past her and heading out to pull pints for the waiting patrons.

When work finished up Danny insisted walking me to the subway but we stopped by the diner first.

"Charlie" Angela called out delighted as I entered. "The usual?" She called.

A sudden pang of starvation past over me. "Ah no can I get pancakes please with some chocolate ice cream" I replied "oh and some jalapeño poppers" I added.

Angela looked slightly confused before smiling and writing down my request. Danny ordered a coffee and slice of pie. He silently watched as I shovelled the food into my mouth as if it was my last meal.

"Is everything alright Charlie?" He eventually asked me.

I swallowed what was in my mouth.

"Yea I'm fine" I replied a little cagey

"I don't think I've ever witnessed you like this" Danny added.

"Like what?"

"Oh come on Princess cut the shit" he raised his eyebrows "since lover boy left your acting bizzare" he added.

"Okay yea I have been eating my feelings a little" I said looking at my demolished pancake stack "gained a little weight but what girl doesn't after a break up." I shrugged.

"You knew him two weeks tops, he's gone nearly three weeks." He snapped.

" okay I know its nuts but I can't help it" I muttered. "He changed me, he's on my mind all the time. I have weird dreams about him. I can't stop missing him" I burst into tears. Danny looked uncomfortable, his discomfort made me stop and shake myself out of the fit of crying. "I'm tired Danny I'm going to go" I stood up and threw some cash on the table. I went home and crawled into bed.

The next morning I took a shower and pulled on my jeans the button wouldn't close. I looked at myself in the floor length mirror. I had always been a very small petite build yet strong and athletic, I was a cheerleader, played soft ball and basketball in college and high school. Now I appeared to have a small bulging pot belly. My mouth went dry

"Shit" I said aloud. "Impossible" I added placing a hand on my stomach. I pulled off my jeans and pulled on sweat pants before grabbing my keys and purse i walked briskly to the drug store buying a pregnancy test. I knew it was insane it was only three and a half weeks since Emmett and I slept together.

I rushed back from the drug store after peeing on my third pregnancy test and watching the positive line appear I realised my predicament.

"F*ck, how am I pregnant?" I cried. When I calmed myself I felt fear wash over me. I grabbed my mobile and dialled Emmett's number.

"Hello" his sexy velvet voice sounded so amazing but my irrational anger drove that thought immediately from my mind "Charlie what's up?" He added.

"Whats up?" I gulped

"Charlie?" He sounded confused.

" you said I could trust you" I bursted into scared tears.

"You can trust me Charlie."

I continued to sob as I choked out "Emmett I'm pregnant?"

"Your what?" His voice was an octave higher now.

"Pregnant" I repeated. "And its yours"

"I can't be thats impossible.." He swallowed loudly.

"Oh really I'm a slut now?" I angerly asked my temper flaring. "Listen to me very carefully Emmett I'm pregnant, your the father and you can go f**k yourself" I yelled hanging up the phone feeling hurt and betrayed.

Emmett continously rang my phone and I ignored it. One thing that was bothering me was why was I showing. I was three weeks pregnant tops and my stomach was round and showing as if I was three or four months along. I threw myself on the bed feeling emotionally and physically drained.
