Chapter seventy four

Caspian pinched the skin between his brows, gritting his teeth harshly as he did so. "I do not have time for this."

"Neither do I!" Ramona snarled, golden scales forming beneath her eyes. She yanked away from him, rushed out of the elevator and pressed the button to close the doors before he could step out.

"Find Justice!" She yelled, running away in the ballroom's direction.

Caspian sighed deeply, fighting the urge to knock down the doors in order to go after her. Finding Justice was the only thing he could do at the moment.

Sadly, as the doors opened, revealing the old mage, he knew right away that they weren't thinking about the same thing.

She stepped back, giggling, "Happy birthday, my handsome grandson."

There was no emotion on Caspian's face, no words, no feelings. He moved past her, hands tucked into his pockets, his gaze narrowing as he started to smell only blood.

"Gwydion."

"He is not dead, though. At least not right now." Nessa appeared in front of him, causing him to halt
