Sabrina's POV

"Haven't you had enough? I told you I don't want to pick one, so why do you have to force me?"

I roared, unable to hold back anymore, and violently hurled the heavy wedding dress catalog in my hands onto the floor.

At the same time, I shoved Melinda away with everything I had.

Third Person's POVThe next day was the weekend, so Sabrina didn't have to go to the university. She spent the afternoon at the villa, scrolling through various investment plans on her phone.According to her agreement with Bentley, he was supposed to wire the five million dollars in cash to her account before dusk today. She wasn't going to need this money in the future anyway, so she planned to leave every last cent of it to her mother. But she couldn't just give it all to her in one lump sum, or it would be squandered in no time. She planned to set up a restrictive trust fund for her mother, capping the annual withdrawal limit at one hundred thousand dollars. Unless faced with a critical illness, Adelaide wouldn't be able to withdraw a single penny more.Only after the twenty-year term expired would she be allowed to withdraw the remaining balance all at once. She was right in the middle of debating which plan to choose when the villa's front door was violently kicked open from the

  • The Alpha Guardian’s Dying Mate   Chapter 24

Third Person's POVZander strode forward with a dark expression, crossing the distance to the stairs in a few steps and pushing open the door to Sabrina's room. The air was thick with the bittersweet scent of red wine. His sharp sense of smell easily caught her pheromones—laced with a heavy, dead sense of decay and utter desolation. At a glance, he saw her sitting on the floor by the window. Two bottles of red wine sat at her feet, and she held a glass in her hand, taking aimless, mechanical sips.Professor Mason's words still echoed in his ears.He walked over, keeping his voice dangerously low. "Some things are already set in stone. No matter how much you vent your frustration, or even go so far as to ruin your own reputation just to rebel against me, it won't change the outcome."Sabrina shot him a faint, apathetic glance before looking away. "I don't know what you're talking about.""You didn't sleep with Bentley. I already know.""You went looking for him?""I didn't need to. You

  • The Alpha Guardian’s Dying Mate   Chapter 23

Third Person's POVSabrina froze, entirely taken aback. She couldn't believe her uncle would use such venomous words to describe her.Fighting desperately to swallow the bitter lump in her throat, she corrected him in a small voice, "I'm getting mated.""Choosing someone like him is no different from selling yourself."Zander's freezing gaze swept over the glaring hickeys on the side of her neck. A mocking sneer tugged at the corner of his lips as his words dropped with cruel lightness. "Looking at how you're so willing to degrade yourself now, you're really no different from your selfish mother."Sabrina thought she had already been hurt to the absolute limit—that she should be completely bulletproof by now.But as long as she still had breath in her lungs, the pain still hurt just as much.It felt like thousands of shards of broken glass had been violently shoved into her chest. The sharp agony crawled through her veins and spread into all her limbs, making her sway unsteadily on he

  • The Alpha Guardian’s Dying Mate   Chapter 22

Third Person's POVBefore Zander could even ask a single question, Evelyn beat him to the punch, calling out to Sabrina. "You're back just in time. Come here, I have something to ask you.""What is it?" Sabrina asked, coming to a stop in front of Evelyn with a completely deadpan expression."Bentley came to us today proposing a marriage alliance. He wants to mate with you and take you away from the Ironspikes. Do you agree to this?"Sabrina remained silent for only a few seconds before giving a flat reply. "I agree, but I have one condition."A furiously shocked glare instantly snapped toward her. Zander wondered if he was hallucinating."What the hell was she saying? Did she even understand what his mother was asking?!"Suppressing her ecstatic joy, Evelyn exchanged a knowing look with her husband. The corners of her lips curled up. "What condition?""I want five million dollars in cash, wired to my account within three days."Hmph. So actively letting Bentley mark her on the side of

  • The Alpha Guardian’s Dying Mate   Chapter 21

Third Person's POV"As her grandparents, we are the ones who decide her marriage. It's not Zander's place to object. Just get the ring ready as soon as possible and come over to propose.""Understood! Thank you so much, Mr. Clayton. I'll be there right on time tomorrow morning!"Sitting off to the side, Evelyn couldn't hold back anymore. She snatched the phone right out of Alfred's hand and demanded sharply, "Bentley, I'm asking you, have you really already marked Sabrina?"How could Bentley possibly let the prey right in front of his mouth slip away? He immediately started spouting a load of absolute bullshit. "Didn't Old Mr. Clayton just see it with his own eyes? To be honest, Sabrina and I have been madly obsessed with each other for a long time. I just couldn't hold back, so I...""Enough!"Evelyn broke out in goosebumps, thoroughly disgusted by his explicit descriptions. She cut him off with sheer revulsion, coldly instructed him to "come on time tomorrow," and hung up the phone.

Third Person's POVSeeing his prey right in front of his eyes but forced into a standstill by the steel screwdriver pressed directly against her own throat, Bentley was going absolutely crazy with frustration."Damn it, Sabrina, what the hell are you doing?"Bentley threw his hands up in surrender, slowly backing away while sleazily trying to talk her down. "How am I not good enough for you? The Blue Night pack is incredibly powerful in Los Angeles too. If you're with me, you can have whatever luxury goods you want. So what if Zander is rich? Does the Ironspike pack's wealth have anything to do with you?""Get out of my way." Sabrina didn't want to hear another word of his bullshit. With an icy glare, she ruthlessly shoved his arms aside and climbed out of the sports car with quick, decisive movements.Sitting in his car, Bentley stared intensely at her retreating back as she walked away without a single glance behind her. An unbearable itch clawed at his heart.Men were all like this
