Chapter 12: It's Complicated

Cillian and I hold hands as we stroll back to my room. In silence. There are so many things going on in my mind that I don’t even notice when he opens the door to my bedroom.

He quickly pulls me inside and carries me from under my arms, like a little girl, and sits me on the unoccupied computer desk. Even at this height he still towers over me, by a lot. It doesn’t look like he wants to say anything. He parks his big hands on my lower back. Then he tips my chin up and just gazes into my eyes.
