'Drowning!'

She gasped for air, trying so hard to open her eyes but she couldn't. She felt suffocated and no matter how hard she tried to get out, she couldn't. Her breath was getting uneven and then...

"I told you I'll be back for you didn't I?"

A soft voice sounded in her ears, that voice. It was the same voice she had gotten used to over the ears. The voice that had come to hunt her ever since her mother left her alone.

"You can never get away from me, little girl!"

"I'll soon be with you,"

"Ahh," Vivian moaned softly, opening her eyes. She looked around, trying to process where she saw. She sat down, wiping the sweat that had formed on her forehead.

She turned to look at the open window. It was past midnight already, she stood up and walked towards the balcony.

Vivian was still in her ripped wedding gown. Her eyes were calm and sad. She brushed her fingers through her hair, frustrated.
