“What do you mean Matteo?" I asked as I slowly stood up from my chair, and despite the cold look on my face, he didn't flinch or cower.

“I found out that the only person who had access to the clip before I got it was Adriana which means she must have tampered with something, purposely or by accident,” he said and I remained quiet as my mind tried to process what he just said.

Why would Adriana want to delete an audio from a security clip?

Raven had accused her of telling the guards to rape her. Could that be it?

Was Adriana capable of something like that? No, I shook my head as my eyes turned to the screen.

Raven could be accusing her out of hate. But I wasn't going to just sit down and assume things.

“I want you to get to the bottom of this? I need to know the activities Adriana carried out when she logged into the system,”

"I already checked that but it only showed that she was reviewing the list for the border patrol team,” my hands clenched.

I have never doubted Adriana e

I punched the cave wall so hard it split open in a jagged crack, dust and bits of stone crumbling beneath my knuckles. The bones in my hand groaned from the impact — but I welcomed the pain. Embraced it. It was nothing compared to the inferno ripping through my chest. That fucking mutt. That filthy, mangy, wolf.He took her from me.Again.Blood seeped down my fingers, staining the cold stone beneath me, but all I could think about was her. Raven. The way her eyes widened when she saw me. The way her scent tangled with mine in the air like a promise — like fate was still threading us together no matter how much time or space tried to rip us apart. She felt it.I know she did.Even with that damn wolf wrapped around her, even with his scent marking every inch of her skin — she still responded to me. Her pulse stuttered. Her pupils dilated. Her breath caught.Because deep down, beneath the lies and manipulation, her soul remembers.Mine.And still… I lost her.Again.The taste of that b

  • The Alpha King's Hated Mate    Chapter 174- What Are You?

I didn’t sleep.Couldn’t.How could I, when Raven lay there unmoving, her skin cold and too pale for someone so full of fire? The moon had shifted across the sky by now, shadows crawling across the floor in long fingers. The rhythmic beeping of the machines was the only sound, the only sign she was still tethered to this world.I sat by her side, elbows on my knees, hands clasped together so tight the bones ached. Every so often, I reached out just to touch her — to convince myself she was still here. Still breathing. But it wasn’t enough. Not nearly enough. Her scent — once wild and full of heat — was faint now, dulled by whatever this was and the sterile hospital sheets. My stomach twisted.I couldn’t just sit here. Not when I had another option.I stood slowly, pacing to the window as my thoughts churned. She was my mate. The bond between us wasn’t just symbolic — it was ancient. Sacred. Lifeblood. And if the healers couldn’t pull her back… maybe I could. My blood could heal her.T

The moment I reached the palace gates, I shifted.Bones cracked, realigned, and fur gave way to skin as I stumbled forward on two feet, drenched in blood, mud, and rage. A guard rushed toward me, head bowed, holding out a pair of shorts. I yanked them on without a word, chest still heaving, heart still thundering.“Where is she?” I demanded, voice like gravel. The guard swallowed hard, eyes wide. “The hospital wing, Your Majesty. Beta Matteo took her there.”I didn’t wait for more. I took off down the marble halls, still dripping, barefoot, leaving red streaks across the pristine white floor. The only thing I could think about was Raven.Raven, limp in Matteo’s arms.Raven, pale and silent.I slammed the hospital doors open so hard they cracked against the walls. Matteo was standing outside, posture tense, face pale. The second he saw me, he straightened and bowed low.“She’s inside,” he said quickly, his voice tight. “Still unconscious.”I didn’t hesitate. I shoved the door open and

I staggered to my feet, blood pouring from a gash across my ribs, my vision swimming. But I didn’t care. He tried to take her. He almost took her. And now… now, he was going to die. Loki’s pale face twisted in irritation as he watched the space where Matteo had disappeared with Raven. His lips parted, a growl curling up from deep in his throat — and then he took a step forward. “No,” I barked, stepping between him and the trail again. “You’re not touching her.” His eyes flashed crimson. “You can’t stop what’s been set in motion. She’s mine. She was always mine.” “You keep saying that,” I snarled. “But guess what?” “You’re not fighting just me anymore.” I let go. I gave in. And Dario took over. *** Dario All I saw was red. The scent of her still lingered, staining the air like poison. Raven. Our mate. Hurt. And this moving corpse was trying to claim her as his. UNACCEPTABLE. I let out a guttural snarl that shook the trees, then launched myself at the leech. Loki bare

“RAVEN!” I roared, hurling myself forward. She was fast — goddess, she was fast — but I was faster. Before she could make contact, I slammed into her side, shoving her out of the way with all the force I had. Her body hit the ground with a hard thud, rolling once before she regained her stance.“What the hell, Xander?!” she barked through the mind link, fury blazing in her voice.I stood between her and Loki, my body a wall of muscle and rage, claws digging into the dirt, chest heaving.“I said stay back!” I growled. “This isn’t your fight.”Her black wolf stalked up behind me, eyes glowing in the dim light, mouth curled in protest. “The hell it isn’t! Your fight is my fight, Xander! We’re in this together. Always.”Something twisted in my chest—something raw and warm and aching. She meant every word. But before I could reply, a low, velvety voice slithered through the silence like smoke.“I didn’t come here for you, wolf,” Loki said, voice dripping with eerie calm. “I came for her.”

“Surrender!,” I growled, the taste of blood thick in my mouth. “You’re done.”Domenico's chest heaved, claws twitching, legs trembling. Blood soaked the earth beneath him, most of it his. His eyes darted between me and Raven, wide with fury and desperation.“Never,” he spat, voice sharp through the mind link. “I’d rather die.”I straightened, looming over him. “Then you leave me no choice.”My fangs bared. Muscles tensed. I crouched low, ready to strike the final blow and end this traitor once and for all.But I didn’t see it.Not until it was too late. With a desperate snarl, Domenico swiped his paw across the dirt and flung a spray of sand and grit directly into my eyes.“Shit—!” I roared, stumbling back as the burning particles seared into my vision.Everything went black for a second.I blinked hard, growling, shaking my head, trying to clear the stinging blur.Coward.“Xander!” Raven’s voice snapped through the link. Her wolf was at my side in seconds, her gaze burning with worry
