ログインELENA
My body felt like lead. Every muscle ached with a deep, heavy exhaustion, a direct consequence of Kaelen’s ruthless, possessive claim. I could still feel the heat of his skin against mine, and the overwhelming scent of rain and crushed pine needles clung to the silk sheets like a brand.
I hated him. I hated how easily his Lycan aura reduced my human defenses to liquid fire. But more than that, I hated being trapped.
A soft, hesitant knock rattled the heavy oak door.
I tried to sit up, but a sharp ache in my thighs made me gasp, forcing me back onto the pillows. "Who is it?" I called out, my voice raspy and breathless.
The lock clicked. The door creaked open, and a young, petite girl shifted into the room. She wore the grey uniform of a palace omega maid. Her head was bowed low, her eyes fixed on the floor, and she carried a silver tray with a bowl of hot broth and a glass of water.
"M-My Luna," she stammered, her shoulders trembling. "The Alpha King ordered that you be fed. He... he explicitly stated you are not to leave the bed."
I flushed with humiliation. Kaelen had basically told the entire staff what he had done to me. "Just leave it on the table," I sighed, pulling the heavy duvet tighter around my bare shoulders.
The girl walked over, her steps completely silent. But instead of placing the tray on the nightstand, she stepped closer to the edge of the bed. Her heart was hammering so loudly I could hear it.
"Luna," she whispered, her voice suddenly losing its timid edge. She flicked her eyes toward the heavy double doors, checking for guards. "I don't have much time. The King's Betas are monitoring the hallways."
I frowned, instantly alert. "Who are you?"
She dropped to one knee, reaching into the hidden pocket of her apron. She pulled out a small silver vial and a tightly rolled piece of parchment.
"My name is Maya. My pack in the South owes everything to Alpha Tristan," she whispered fiercely, pressing the cold silver vial into my hand. "This is an omega scent-blocker. If you drink it, it will temporarily mask Kaelen's scent on you, and it will hide your pure-blood sweetness from the guards."
My heart leaped into my throat. Tristan.
"He sent you?" I whispered.
"Alpha Tristan is currently in the Council chamber, keeping the King distracted," Maya explained rapidly, her eyes wide. "He is challenging Kaelen’s claim to the throne, forcing a full-day debate. He wants you to know that he hasn't forgotten his promise to you. Read the note, Luna. Then burn it."
Before I could ask her anything else, Maya stood up, bowed politely as if she had just finished her duties, and hurried out of the room, locking the door behind her.
Trembling, I unrolled the tiny piece of parchment. Tristan’s elegant, sharp handwriting filled the page:
Elena,
He thinks he can lock you away, but a King without a crown is just a beast. I am pushing the Council to demand a formal coronation ritual. It buy us three days. Do not let him break your spirit. Drink the vial tonight at midnight. The guards will change shifts, and Maya will open the eastern garden gate for you and the twins. I will be waiting in the shadows. Let me save you again.
— T.
A gasp escaped my lips. An escape plan. He was giving me a way out, a chance to take Leo and Lily back to safety, far away from Kaelen's suffocating golden cage.
But as I looked at the silver vial in my hand, a dark, sinking feeling settled in my stomach. Kaelen was obsessed. If I ran away with his rivals, he wouldn't just look for me—he would start a continental war.
Suddenly, a violent tremor shook the entire room.
The heavy oak doors didn't just unlock—they were thrown open so hard the doorknobs shattered against the marble walls.
Kaelen stood in the doorway. His tie was gone, his top three shirt buttons ripped open, and his chest was heaving with raw, unfiltered fury. The silver in his eyes was completely gone, replaced by a blinding, territorial gold that illuminated the dim room.
He didn't say a word. He just sniffed the air.
His eyes locked directly onto my hand, where the silver vial and Tristan's note were still gripped tightly in my fingers.
"What," Kaelen roared, his voice rattling the glass windows until they cracked, "is that?"
ELENAEvery single step down the grand marble staircase felt like a battle against my own body. Kaelen's ruthless, midnight claim had left my thighs trembling and my core aching with a deep, heavy heat. But worse than the physical exhaustion was the invisible brand I was wearing.I didn't need a wolf's nose to know I was completely drenched in Kaelen’s dominant pheromones. The scent of rain, cedar, and raw Alpha conquest clung to my skin and the expensive, high-necked velvet dress the servants had forced me into.As I entered the royal dining hall, the heavy gold-leaf doors swung open. I expected to see Kaelen. Instead, sitting at the head of the long mahogany table, swirling a glass of blood-red juice, was a strikingly beautiful woman. She had cascading platinum blonde hair, icy blue eyes, and sleek Lycan ears piercing through her locks. She wore a diamond-encrusted dress that screamed royal nobility."So," she purred, her voice dripping with aristocratic venom as she slowly looked m
ELENAMy blood ran entirely cold,Before I could even shove Tristan’s note under the pillow, Kaelen blurred across the room. He didn’t just take the parchment and the silver vial from my hand—he gripped my wrist so hard a gasp of pain escaped my lips, his large fingers squeezing until my fingers uncoiled. He didn't even read the note. His golden eyes swept over the elegant handwriting, and his nostrils flared as he caught the faint, lingering trace of the Southern Alpha's scent on the paper."Tristan," Kaelen hissed, a sound so dark and primal it sounded like a demonic growl from the deepest depths of hell."Kaelen, wait—"He didn't listen. He turned on his heel, threw open the balcony doors, and let out a piercing, vibrating howl that shook the entire palace infrastructure. Within three seconds, the bedroom door flew open. Two massive Beta guards stood at attention, their heads bowed in absolute terror."Bring me the omega who served the Luna's tray," Kaelen commanded, his voice dead

ELENAThe heavy oak doors of the royal master suite slammed shut with a thud that echoed in my chest. Before I could even turn around, the sound of a heavy brass key turning in the lock sealed my fate. Kaelen stood with his back to the door, his massive chest heaving. The territorial scent of rain and dark wood filled the room, so thick it felt like a physical weight crushing the air from my lungs."Kaelen, let me out!" I demanded, backing up as he began to strip. He unbuttoned his cuffs, letting the gold links drop to the floor. Next went his watch, tossed carelessly onto a velvet armchair. His eyes weren't silver anymore. They were completely molten gold, the predatory gaze of a Lycan king who had seen a rival touching his prize."Let you out?" Kaelen’s voice was a dark, vibrating rumble. "So you can run back to the Southern trash? So you can smile at him again?""Tristan helped me when you left me to die!" I yelled, my back hitting the edge of the massive, silk-sheeted four-poster
ELENAThe royal pack limousine was a fortress of black leather and tinted glass. Across from me sat Kaelen, his massive arms crossed over his chest, his golden eyes tracking every single breath I took.Leo and Lily had finally fallen asleep, curled against my sides. My arms ached from holding them so tightly. I looked out the window as the crumbling brick walls of the human slums melted into the towering, pristine glass skyscrapers of the Lycan Citadel."They need proper beds," Kaelen said suddenly, his deep voice slicing through the silence. "Tomorrow, the royal physicians will examine them. They will have the best tutors, the best protection, and the finest clothes.""They had a good life," I snapped, keeping my voice low so I wouldn’t wake the twins. "They were happy."Kaelen let out a harsh, mocking laugh. "They were hiding in a rat-infested apartment in the human sector, Elena. You kept the heirs to the Northern Pack crown eating cheap noodles.""You don't want them, Kaelen," I w
ELENA"Faster!" I screamed, slamming my hands against the back of the taxi’s seat. "Please, just step on it!"The human driver glared at me through the rearview mirror, but the raw terror in my voice—and my shredded shirt held together by my trembling fingers—must have convinced him. He stomped on the gas, the tires splashing through the deep puddles of the human slums. My chest heaved. The hungry burn of Kaelen’s lips still branded my mouth. My skin was tingling with the residual energy of the mate-bond. I wanted to throw up from the sheer adrenaline. The locket.I reached up again, my fingers desperately brushing my bare collarbone. Nothing. Just the broken metal loop where the chain used to be. Inside that silver heart were two tiny photos of Leo and Lily. They had his silver eyes. Anyone could look at them and know they belonged to the Lycan King."No, no, no," I whimpered, rocking back and forth. If Kaelen found out he had heirs, he wouldn't just take them; he would lock me in a
