The bed felt incredibly soft and comforting against my skin. I wished I could remain like this forever, as it felt like heaven. But sadly, I had to wake up. Stretching my arm towards Maximus, I was met with emptiness.

I sighed. He must have left early for work again today, like always, I thought. I had to get up too because I also had work to do. So, opening my eyes, I felt an unusual heaviness, and I had to shut them close. Groaning softly, I made another attempt, this time slowly.
