I lay awake in bed for an hour, the information I had just learnt from Elliot not allowing me to sleep. How do I approach this with Axel? He must suspect that something happened to his father, he wouldn’t have just fell over and died a mile away from this place. But with the way in which he reacted when I even brought his father into the conversation, tells me he hasn’t quite dealt with the loss of him. Until I know more about the situation and hopefully, find Axel but also Hannah, the answers they have been asking for years, I should keep this to myself. I was soon sitting at the huge table in the library, drowning in all of the many books we had found. I must have read about twenty different books, all of them full with facts of many different mystic tales which most deem myths. But I still hadn’t found any that match what I’m experiencing, there was one kind which had the ability to see into the future but not past, or be able to talk to people who are supposed to be dead! What if I’m just not normal? Perhaps my father was a mix, I just don’t know anymore and looking through all of these books isn’t helping! I sigh closing the last book on the pile, still no closer to finding out who I may be. The rest of the day was spent with me getting pulled from pillar to post, I haven’t been able to sit down since the library. As soon was I walked into the bedroom from the library, there were a team of people waiting for me. I was forced to stand still for an hour and a half while they took all my measurements, I don’t even know what this dress is even meant to look like! I assumed after this I would be able to have a break, but I was very wrong in thinking that. For some reason, a woman whose name was never said, told me I wasn’t walking correctly and proceeded to critique my walking habits for two whole hours! I didn’t know somebody could walk wrong, but according to this woman, I was! But that wasn’t even the worst of it, because I haven’t really got the talking with my voice around other people down, I couldn’t tell them how I felt! I wake up the next day to around 20 different people in my room, Axel only being apart of that number for two minutes before he had to leave. Before I had time to even blink, I was sat at a dressing table with four different women doing my hair and makeup. I swear I would have freaked out if Hannah didn’t make an appearance. “I’ve come bearing gifts.” She smiles holding up a tray of food but also, a blue boutique looking bag dangling from her arm. “This is your breakfast you’ll be able to eat once your hair and makeup is done, while this gift is from Axel, but can only be opened as you’re about to leave the room.” She smiles placing the bag on the counter with a smile, but my mind began to race with different guesses on what may be in the bag. Hannah walks over to the door opening it, where Joey stood with a smile on his face holding a velvet red box in his hands. She smiles moving aside so he could walk in, where he sends me a smile once he spots me. “You look beautiful Evermore, just as a Queen should look.” He smiles as Hannah clears her throat, he quickly looks over to her sending her a smile. “You know I find you beautiful too.” He jokes as though she would be jealous in some capacity, but when she also laughs along it calms the mood down. Joey walks over to the bed placing the box down, while Hannah comes up behind me to put my new necklace from Axel around my neck. I take a look down where a smile forms on my lips, Axel is one of the most sweetest people out there. My heart was pounding as we emerge from the bedroom door, I knew in a few moments all of the Kingdom would know I was the new Queen. Of course, I was worried what their opinions of me would be, but I also didn’t want to let Axel down. He has been so kind and patient with me as I navigate through this, I just want to be able to make him proud and live up to the title of Queen. I assumed, as Joey told me the guards were making sure we aren’t stopped by anyone, that the halls would be clear for us to walk down. But instead, the maids, butlers and all the other people that work here, stood either side of the hall smiling over and us. As we pass them, they all bow or curtsy in respect for us. I was a little taken back as we pass them all, this is how everyone greets Axel when he walks by. But I did put a smile on my face as a thank you as we walk deeper into the castle. The ceremony lasted hours after our dance, the amount of people I had to stop and talk to blew my mind. I did worry at first if I would be able to talk to anyone, but after the initial people, I managed to pull through. I somehow slipped away in the middle, I was more than appreciative of all the compliments I received and the many kind words, but I needed a little break. I walk out into the fresh night air, this ceremony had lasted all day! As I put more distance between the after party and I, the sounds of chatting and the posh music drown away and I’m left with the peaceful sound of nature. I take a deep breath in, as the wind whipped through my hair a smile forming on my lips. The feeling of freedom which I always get when I’m outside, I hope it never goes away. I continue to walk deeper into the garden, I didn’t know where I was going but allowed my legs to take me. After a few moments, I snap out of my trance and take a look at my surroundings.
