AMY

I stopped to see who called me just now, and I was a little surprised to see a man who wasn't dressed like the guard or Danford.

He dressed like one of the gammas, and I was confused about who he was. I don't want to be on a bad note with him.

So I politely turned and smiled.

“Hello, sir!” I said with a smile.

“Who are you? So pretty! Are you new here?” He asked as he walked closer. His smile was so creepy, and I didn't like the atmosphere at all.

I know I am pretty, but why on earth is that his first comment?! And who is this man?

“I am sorry, are you lost? Are you looking for someone?” I asked him back, not responding to what he had said earlier.

“You must be new here for you not to know me. Who are you? What is your name?” He asked again, and I moved back a little.

Seeing that I didn't want him to come closer to me, he stopped walking and only smiled while he looked at me from head to toe.

As his gaze lingered on my body, I felt creeped out. He was acting like a bloody pervert, and everything about him gives me the ick.

“I am sorry, sir, that I don't know you, but I can't just give you my name because I don't know you!” I replied to him, as something about him didn't seem right.

“Ohh, look at you, being all secretive!” He said and laughed. His smile sounded nothing like that of a normal person.

It was like I was faced by a maniac; I couldn't even comprehend what his mission was.

“You are not dressed like a maid, and your aura is somewhat not like that of a maid because I can't see fear in your eyes.” He said it, and I was surprised.

How could he tell that I wasn't a maid? I was dressed simply, though it was not a uniform, and secondly, I just didn't like his vibe.

Was I supposed to fear him? I don't even know how he is! He is dressed like a royal! He is probably Charles' friend.

“So who are you?” He asked again,

This time I looked at him from his head to his toes, making it so obvious that I was looking at him.

“I don't think you want to ask me that question! Because I don't feel safe talking to you. Rather, I don't mind you telling me who you are.” I replied.

I can't say where the courage was coming from, but I just didn't have the mind to succumb to the man before me.

His aura wasn't even intimidating me, and I could tell he wanted to scare me so bad, but it wasn't working at all.

“Hmm, sharp! I can tell you are a noble. You have an aura of a daughter of the royal ones who is spoiled and doesn't bow to anyone!” He said.

His calculations and reading were wrong this time around, as I was noticing, but a maid where I came from. 

My life was far from that if a lady belonged to royalty.

What is he saying?

“Okay! Little angel, I will put you out of your mystery, darling!” He said and moved closer, but before his hands could even touch me, I moved back again.

“Why are you moving away? I don't bite!” He said, and I rolled my eyes.

“I can tell, but it is not polite either to touch a woman who isn't yours!” I said to him, and his face widened. 

“What? You! Bring kept! By whom?” He asked, stressing each of his words, and I was confused.

“What is he saying? Is he even normal at all? He just started acting pretty strange all of a sudden!” I said to myself as I looked at him with a weird expression on my face.

“You are Charles' guest, aren't you?” He said, and I hesitated before nodding my head!

“Is he keeping you? Are you his plaything or his girlfriend? Who are you?” He raised his tone, and this time his expression changed.

His tone was changing from teasing and playful to aggressive and curious.

I didn't want him to hold me, and earlier he was being so cooperative, but this time, he was so adamant to hold me, and the more I moved away, the closer he came. 

“Has that bastard finally taken the likeness of a woman? You! You are his woman? The lady he is keeping!” He kept ranting about things I don't understand.

He finally caught up with him, but luckily, before I could raise the alarm, the butler walked in.

“Mr. Reed, please get your hands off the lady!” The butler said with a commanding tone, and before I knew it, the young man got his hands off me.

He still had a curious and angry face on, but he didn't dare to defy the butler's order.

“You seem to have missed your way! Please head back; the Alpha has sent his men to search for you! I am sure you don't want that!” The butler said in a calm tone.

I looked at him, and he looked at me for a while and sighed. I could tell he was just not letting go of the matter. He just wanted to answer the Alpha's call at the time.

“You know how to ruin things!” He murmured under his breath to the butler, and she smiled beautifully at him instead.

“I just wanted you to taste your own medicine. You should know what ruining things meant too!” The butler replied.

I could sense the tension and the unspoken war between the two of them, and I was surprised. Who is this man?

I could not help but question myself as I looked at him glaring at the butler, and she also was looking at him and was moved by what he was doing.
