The inhabitants of the small cottage could hear growling on the other side of the door. "What is that?" one of the children asked as he hugged Kasa's leg.
"Werewolf," Arthur and Valentino said at the same time.
Kasa managed to detach herself from the little boys and put them in the charge of the girl. "Do we have any strategy on how to get these kids out of here?" she asked the two men in a low tone.
Valentino looked at the kids. "One of you should open the door for whoever is there," he ordered them then turned to his comrades, who were looking at him with wide eyes. "We should go into the kitchen," he said as he dragged both of them into the smelly kitchen.
"Why would you tell them to do such a thing?" Kasa whisper yelled.
"I did that because if they do not open that door, it will just end up being burst open, which is not a good thing, is it?" he said.
"An
Arthur stared at the battered body of what used to be his opponent. "Might as well tear him from limb to limb just to be on the safe side," he said to himself. When he was done with his business, he looked at his work and began scattering the body parts in different directions. "Better," he said and waited for his bones to click back and his fur to grow out."Wow. Mr Arthur turned into a werewolf in broad daylight?" Kasa asked in astonishment."It must be one of the abilities that come with his eyes," Valentino said."Anyway, we should continue on our way, so that we can leave this deserted town as soon as possible," Kasa said after a while. The Ghost Reaper could not agree more."Are you going somewhere?" someone said from behind them. It was a new voice. A female's voice. Judging from the way that the children froze in their tracks, Valentino could tell that
"So she actually died, that's nice," Valentino said as he looked down at the lifeless body of the woman who Kasa defeated. Kasa was panting beside him. The illusion she wolf came up to them and had Kasa place her hand on her snout."Thank you," Kasa said to her and she disappeared immediately."Can we be on our way out of here? I don't think any of us have much fighting power left," Arthur said as Adriana helped him to his feet."I agree," Valentino replied to him. He held Kasa by her waist and helped her move forward."I hope you know that I can walk," she said to him. "The person who needs your help right now is Mr Arthur.""Have you heard the way you are breathing?" he asked her. "You sound like you might give out any moment now."She rolled her eyes but did not protest. He was right, after all. For some reason, she felt very faint and lightheaded.
Cassarina met up with Mrs Maxwell the very next day. She knocked on the old woman's door for the second time. "Who is it?" she heard the old woman ask from inside the house."Ma'am? It is Cassarina. I need to speak with you urgently," she said. The ex Gamma opened the door and was delighted to see the girl. "It has been so long since I saw you, my dear. Please feel at home," the old woman said as she made the girl sit on the sofa. "What would you like to drink?"Cassarina gave her a tight lipped smile. "Don't worry about that ma'am. I actually came to ask you something," she told Mrs Maxwell. The woman sat beside her. "Yes dear, my mind told me that you must need something but that does not stop me from entertaining my favorite student," she said heartily. "Now, let me ask again, what can I offer you?"The chestnut haired girl sighed. The old lady was impossible. "Fine ma'am. Jus
"Hello Cassie. How are you doing today?" Catori asked the girl casually.Cassie scowled at her. "At least I look hotter than you will ever be," the girl replied.Catori smirked. "Such a nice comeback. Anyway, may I know why you chose to talk to me today?" Catori asked her.The other girl frowned again. "I did not come here to speak with you, only monkeys could talk to a thing like you. I want to talk to Erica boo," she said, saying the last part in a sweet way.Catori rolled her eyes and looked at Erica. "Erica boo," she called with a smirk. "Your dearest friend wants to talk to you." With that, Catori stood up and went to a bench at the very back of the spectators' area. She sat down, brought out her phone and opened her ears to the conversation."What do you want from me, you bitch?" Erica asked her former colleague."Is that how to talk to me? Is that what
Catori watched the throng of students leaving the school. It was closing time and she was waiting for Erica and Kelvin. This had become a habit for three of them. On days that they were allowed to stay until school closed for the day, she came to more or less, pick them up so that the three of them could walk back to the fashion agency together. They are taking longer than usual today, her wolf said.Yeah. I wonder what's keeping them so long, she replied. She would have gone in to find those two herself but since she found out that Cassie also schooled there, Catori had made the decision to stay as far away from her as possible."I'll kill those two for keeping me here for a longer time than I expected," she muttered to herself. Her phone rang. She picked the call without looking at the caller ID. It would have still made no sense to do that as the brightness of the sun was too much.
Liam and Kurt paced around in the abandoned building. "She still is not picking up," Kurt said."Keep calling her then. This is unnecessary, for real," Liam replied. Alaric soon joined them."You know, having you guys move around like this is just giving me a headache," he said as he facepalmed."Cassarina's note is not encouraging," Liam said with a tense jaw. "Like, what the hell is this? Of all the people to betray us, it was your sister, Kurt?!""Why are you now acting as if I am the one who deserted?" Kurt asked with annoyance."All of you, shut up," Mrs Berwoulf said sternly. "No one is to blame for whatever that went wrong except this girl herself. Do your best to fix it but please stop shouting. We have no place to go if the police finds us here."Alaric heaved a sigh. "My mom is right. We have to keep it down, since we actually have no place to go fo
Catori pushed him off her. "What the hell was that supposed to mean?!" she yelled, panting."That was to show you how much I lo…""Don't you dare try to complete that statement," she warned, cutting him off. She hit his chest in annoyance and stormed out.Luckily for him, Kelvin did not follow her. "Hey Tori. What happened? Why do you look so angry?" Erica asked her when they met up at the entrance."I can't talk right now but you need to talk to that friend of yours," Catori said to her. She clenched her fists tightly. Erica watched her storm away from her.Kelvin walked out of the library building calmly. "Kelvin, what happened back there?" Erica asked him as soon as he came into sight. He did not say a word to her. "Kelvin, I asked you a question."He just continued to walk. Having no choice, she fell in step with him. Her mind raced, wondering what
"Wake up!" Catori yelled, hitting him hard with a pillow. Fenris still did not stir. She hit him again, squarely in the face this time. He was still trying to be a hard guy. "Wake up!" she screamed in his ear.He almost fell off the bed. "Catori, what was that for?" he asked in a tired voice."I have been trying to wake up for minutes now," she said and let herself fall on his back."What the hell?""Don't forget that today is your day off," she said in a sing-song voice."Alright? So what do they do on days o…" The rest of the statement was interrupted by soft snores.Catori bounced on his back. "Wakey wakey," she said and laughed when he grunted. "Fenris, get up!""Hmm? I'm up, I'm up," he said. He finally noticed the weight on his back. "What the hell? If you keep sitting there, I might as well stay on the floor," he said.
