The man then protruded his hand as if asking me to hold it. I was hesitant at first but I then decided to take his hand. His hand was warm. His long fingers were pale and scratched up like papercuts. He then closed his eyes and a moment later I was back in my bedroom. But for some reason, I wasn't on my bed on the ground a few paces away from my bed. I remember sleeping on my bed the previous night but why was I on the ground? I had no clue.
Although it seemed like I spent only a few minutes in my dream, it was already morning in reality.
I called the receptionist at the laboratories and called for a day off. I needed a break to cool my head. writing down everything I could remember about the dream I wondered why is it always me that gets stuck in such mishaps.
Apart from all the questions that are already dwelling in my mind, now came a new question. What was a being protected from? And who is that man? If he is the wolf I always saw in my dream then why was he a man now?
Wait a minute. Wait for a damn minute. Is he by chance a…?
It took me a while but now I realized that all this time, I've been dreaming about a werewolf. If werewolves really do exist then how am I connected to them? But most importantly do they exist?
I instantly took out my phone and called my sister Stacy. Stacy lived a few hours away from my place. But she is the elder one of us and knew more about my family than I did.
As soon as I called her up, I could hear her from the other side of the phone, “hey Rebecca, how are you? Long time, hope everything is good. How come-”
“I'm good Stacy and if you can spare me a minute I have a question for you.”
“Is that the only reason you called?” I could hear her pout from the other side of the screen.
I couldn't help but chuckle.” first my question then your drama. Alright?”
“Alright. Ask.”
“Do you know anything about our family being related to werewolves stacy?”
"Werewolves?" Stacy exclaimed on the other end of the phone. "What on earth are you talking about, Rebecca? You know that werewolves are just mythological creatures, right?"
I sighed, feeling a little foolish for even bringing it up. "I know, I know. It's just that I had this weird dream last night and it had something to do with werewolves. I couldn't shake the feeling that it had some kind of deeper meaning or significance. I guess I was just hoping you might have some insight or know something about our family's history that I don't."
Stacy was quiet for a moment, and then I heard her let out a soft laugh. "Well, I can't say I know anything about werewolves, but I do remember hearing a rumor that our great-great-grandfather was said to be a bit of a wild man. I think someone even called him a 'wolf of the woods' at one point. But I'm pretty sure that's just a fanciful nickname and not anything to do with actual werewolves."
I laughed as well, feeling a little relieved. "I guess I was getting a little carried away. Thanks for humoring me, Stacy."
"Anytime, sis. Just remember, werewolves aren't real. But if you ever need someone to listen to your crazy dreams, I'm always here."
I smiled. "You're right. I feel a little silly for even bringing it up."
"No problem," Stacy replied. "Now, can we talk about my drama? I've been dying to vent to you about my latest ex-boyfriend."
I laughed. "Of course. Go ahead and vent away."
As we continued their conversation, I couldn't help but feel a sense of relief that the strange dream was just that - a dream. I listened as Stacy ranted about her ex-boyfriend and the ways he had wronged her, and soon enough, the strange man and his cryptic words were all but forgotten.
I couldn't shake the feeling that there was more to my dream than just a fanciful story. Now and then, it would come back to me, nagging at the back of my mind.
One day, I decided to take a walk in the woods near my house, hoping that the fresh air and peaceful surroundings might help to clear my head. As I walked, I found myself drawn to a particular spot: a clearing in the oddly familiar trees.
As I stepped into the clearing, I gasped as the memories of my dream came flooding back. I recognized the place immediately - it was the same clearing where I had stood in my dream, with the strange man offering his hand to me.
My heart began to race as I looked around, half-expecting to see the man standing there in front of me. But there was no one there, just the peaceful quiet of the woods.
I sat down on a fallen log and took a deep breath, trying to make sense of everything. It was just a dream, I told myself. It couldn't possibly be real.
But as I sat there, lost in thought, I felt a strange sensation wash over me. I couldn't quite describe it, but it was like a sense of recognition as if some deep part of me knew this place and had been drawn back to it.
I sat there for a while, lost in thought until the sun began to set and I realized I had been gone for hours. As I made my way back home, I couldn't shake the feeling that there was more to my dream. I knew I needed to find out the truth, no matter how strange or unbelievable it might seem.
That night, I found myself back in the dream, and for the first time, I was excited to go back to sleep. I knew that the man would be there, waiting for me, and I was eager to talk to him and learn more about the strange situation I found myself in.As I approached the campfire, I saw the man sitting on a rock, roasting meat over the flames. He looked up as I approached and gave me a friendly smile, gesturing toward the rock next to him. I took a seat, feeling a sense of curiosity rather than fear."Are you a werewolf?" I asked, my voice barely above a whisper. The man's eyes widened in fear, but he nodded his head. "So you figured it out," he said.I didn't know what to say. A werewolf? It seemed impossible. But as I looked into the man's eyes, I knew he was telling the truth."Don't worry," I said, trying to reassure him. "I won't go away.""Why not?" the man asked, still looking worried."Because I'm not afraid of you," I replied. "I just want to understand. Can you tell me more ab
“What are you talking about Stacy? Tell me that's not true. Please tell me you are lying. ““I'm so sorry Rebecca. I knew I shouldn’t have hidden the truth from you but I only ended up remembering it when you asked me about werewolves last time.”“Do you think a werewolf killed them?” I asked.“I'm not sure dear. But I can tell you this. No one in our extended family would be willing to give you information. I already asked around back when I was sixteen but they all silenced me.”“Why?”“They said that with the death of our parents, the monsters must have attained peace. That the curse has been lifted and it's best if we don't dwell deeper into the matter.”“Is that why you told me off the first time I asked?”“Yes, Rebecca. And I’d tell you the same again. Your dreams are not true. Don't take them seriously. You're only going to damage yourself.”“At least tell me what the curse was.”“If I knew I would have sis.”“Alright, Stacy,” I replied and cut the call with no intention of let
As I stood at the edge of the beautiful, glimmering lake, I was mesmerized by the sight in front of me. The midnight moon hung low in the sky, casting its reflection on the surface of the water. The waterfall cascading down the cliff added to the beauty of the scene. It was like something out of a dream. As I gazed at the scenery, my attention was suddenly caught by a man who was bathing in the lake. He was shirtless, and his chiseled abs and broad shoulders were on full display. As our eyes met, I couldn't help but feel a sudden rush of attraction towards him. His V-line led down into his trousers, making it clear that he was in great physical shape.I couldn't take my eyes off of him as he stood up and walked towards me, the water dripping off of his bare skin. He had a confident stride and a mischievous smile on his face. I couldn't help but feel a little flustered as he approached me, but I was also excited to see what would happen next."Like what you see, princess?" the werewolf
I stared at him in shock, my mind racing with the implications of his words. "So that's how I have this magic?" I asked, still trying to wrap my head around it all.The werewolf nodded. "Yes, you inherited the magic that was meant to be mine. But it's not just yours, it's ours. We're connected, you and I. And I promise to always protect you and keep you safe."I couldn't believe what I was hearing. How was it possible that I had inherited this magic, and how was I connected to this werewolf? But as he spoke, I felt a warmth fill my chest. I knew that I could trust him and that he would always be there for me. And at that moment, I knew that I had found a true friend and ally in the werewolf."Oh, you asked me for my name right. I forgot to tell you what it is... It's-" he said. But before I could hear what his name was, I was back in my bedroom, wide awake.I had no clue what to do anymore. It was all so strange and confusing. No wonder my relatives considered the power a curse. Now t
That night, I couldn't shake the feeling that something was off. I tossed and turned in my bed, trying to push the nagging thoughts to the back of my mind. But eventually, I gave up on sleeping and got out of bed. I needed to write down everything I had learned over the past few weeks, to try and make sense of it all.As I scribbled down notes, memories of the nightmares I had been having flooded back to me. In my dreams, I was chased by a wolf, only to discover that it was actually a werewolf. The scars I received in these nightmares still ached when I woke up, and I couldn't shake the feeling that they were more than just figments of my imagination. The werewolf in my dreams had told me a story about a pack he used to be a part of, led by a power-hungry alpha. According to the legend, the werewolf was born with a special power, one that the alpha had somehow discovered. To protect himself and others, the werewolf had transferred this power to a man he met in the woods, who happened
I froze in place, unsure of what to do. The wolves seemed to be sizing me up, their eyes narrowed and their teeth bared. I could feel the tension in the air as we stood there, locked in a tense stalemate.Just when I thought things couldn't get any worse, I heard a low growl behind me and turned to see another wolf emerging from the bushes. This one was larger than the others, with a thick coat of fur and piercing green eyes. I knew immediately that this was the alpha of the pack, and I couldn't help but feel a sense of fear wash over me.The alpha wolf stepped forward, its eyes locked onto mine. I could feel its gaze penetrating me, trying to gauge my strength and determination. I knew that I had to stand my ground, even though every instinct was telling me to run.Just when I thought things couldn't get any worse, I heard a voice in my head. It was the werewolf, and it was speaking to me telepathically. "Don't be afraid," it said. "I've come to help you. I'm sorry about what happene
I stood frozen in shock as the werewolves closed in on me, their eyes glowing with a sinister light. I knew that I was in serious danger, and I had to think fast if I wanted to get out of there alive."What are you doing here?" one of the werewolves growled, its voice dripping with hatred. "You shouldn't have come here.""I-I was brought here," I stammered, trying to keep my voice steady. "Alex brought me here. They said they wanted to help me.""Alex is a traitor," another werewolf snarled. "They should have known better than to bring a human into our midst. And now, they've brought you to us. You're going to pay for their betrayal."I knew that I had to act fast if I wanted to escape. But before I could even think about using my powers, the werewolves had surrounded me, trapping me in their midst. I was completely outnumbered, and I knew that I didn't stand a chance against them."Please," I begged, my voice shaking. "I don't want to die. I just want to know why my parents were kill
“So now you get it! Yes. Rebeca is my mate. I can't hand her over. If I do ill die too.” nikau replied. I stared at the two werewolves in shock, my mind racing as I tried to process what I had just heard. They were fighting over me because I was Nikau's mate? And if Nikau handed me over, he would die? I couldn't believe what I was hearing. These werewolves were talking about me as if I was some sort of possession, something to be fought over and protected. And yet, I had no idea who they were or why they were so important to me. "What are you talking about?" I asked, my voice shaking. "I don't understand. Why am I your mate, Nikau? And why do you want to kill me, Alex? I don't know either of you. I just want to know why my parents were killed. That's all I've ever wanted." Nikau and Alex looked at each other for a moment, seeming to consider their options. Finally, Nikau sighed and turned to me, his eyes filled with sadness. "I'm sorry, Rebecca," he said. "I wish I could explain e
