Darina stepped into the ballroom like a flame in midnight silk.

Her gown clung to her toned figure, deep blue fabric shimmering like moonlight on water, its slit hinting at the powerful legs sculpted by years of training. Pearls sparkled in her dark curls, twisted into a regal updo that bared the long, graceful line of her neck. Her sapphire eyes scanned the crowd with barely restrained excitement.

Tonight was her first mating ball—and she had just turned eighteen.

Her heart fluttered with anticipation. Somewhere among the silks and tuxedos, the goddess's chosen one waited for her. Not for power. Not for rank. Just for her.

She didn’t want a crown or a title. She wanted someone who saw her—truly saw her—and claimed her with a heart that matched her own.

Then she smelled it.

Salt air, crushed mint, and something wild.

Her wolf, Coral, howled, “Mate!”

Darina’s breath caught. Her pulse raced.

“Mate,” she whispered back, warmth flooding her chest.

And then she saw him.

He stood tall near the center of the room, broad shoulders tense beneath a tailored black suit. His dark hair was tousled, jaw sharp enough to cut glass. Their eyes met. The moment should have been magic.

But something was wrong.

He wasn’t alone.

A stunning blonde clung to his arm, her ice-blue eyes narrowing at Darina with open hostility. Her grip tightened possessively as if she already knew who Darina was.

The man didn’t smile. He didn’t move. He just stared, expression unreadable.

Still, Darina walked toward him, drawn like a moth to flame.

When he finally spoke, his voice was like a knife dipped in frost. “Come with me.”

She followed him out onto a moonlit balcony, her chest aching with hope that maybe—just maybe—this was all some misunderstanding.

He turned to face her, arms crossed over his chest like a wall. His scent was overwhelming, intoxicating.

“I’m Darina,” she began softly.

“I know who you are,” he interrupted coldly. “Daughter of the Red Full Moon Alpha. Look, no hard feelings. But I’ve already chosen someone else.”

The words cracked like thunder in her heart.

“But I’m your mate,” she said, stepping closer, fingers brushing his. The spark was undeniable. Her wolf whimpered in joy.

His eyes flickered with something—recognition, maybe. Pain. But it vanished as quickly as it came.

“I don’t care,” he said flatly, yanking his hand away. “I don’t need the Moon Goddess to choose for me.”

A blade of silence sliced between them.

Then the blonde appeared, looping her arms around his waist with casual cruelty. “Is she bothering you, babe?”

John placed a kiss on her forehead without sparing Darina a second glance. “All good. Almost done here.”

The final blow came with calm brutality.

“I, Alpha of the Silverstone Pack, John Stormborn, reject you, Darina Kovac, as my mate and Luna.”

The rejection hit her like lightning—ripping through her chest, stealing her breath, stealing her dreams.

Tears blurred her vision, but she didn’t fall.

Not in front of them.

Straightening her spine, she met his eyes with quiet steel. “I accept your rejection.”

He dropped to his knees, groaning in pain.

The blonde rushed to comfort him, confused and shaken.

Darina didn’t look back.

She turned, walking through the ballroom like a queen draped in shadows. Her world may have cracked open, but her pride remained unshaken.

Out in the garden, beneath a sky full of indifferent stars, she made a vow.

If the Moon Goddess made a mistake pairing her with this man, she would become her own destiny.

She would rise, train harder, love fiercely, help others and one day—when the world least expected—it would remember her not as the girl who was rejected…

…but as the woman who no one could ever break.

After leaving the clinic, Kai sat in his study with Darina and Reed, discussing updates to the training schedule and other matters. Darina had proposed adding some sports games for the pups and had also brought a list of requirements for the orphanages she had recently visited.Reed, mid-mindlink, suddenly announced, “Amber is joining us now—with someone who has important intel.”Moments later, Amber entered the office still dressed in her training gear. At her side was a man whose presence immediately shifted the atmosphere. He looked intimidating, exuding a dangerous, dark aura. The man was built like a mountain of muscle, dressed in all black, tattoos covering his shaved head sides, neck and arms, and his devilishly handsome face wore a heavy, cold gaze. His appearance put Kai on alert, sparked curiosity in Darina, and stirred jealousy in Reed. Reed didn’t like him—not even a little—especially seeing him so close to Amber.Sensing her mate’s em

  • The Alpha Prince's Fierce Bride   A Friend or A Threat

Darius left the clinic and was about to exit the palace through the garden when he suddenly froze in his tracks. She was walking among the flowers, seemingly after a workout. Dressed in green leggings and a tank top, her cheeks were flushed, her green eyes sparkling like stars, and the fated mate mark visible on her collarbone. So many memories surged as he looked at her. He stepped out of the shadows. “Darius!” Amber screamed, and in the next second, she leapt into his arms, wrapping him in a tight hug. “Oh my god, is it really you? It’s been so long!” She kissed his cheeks and held his hands like she was afraid he might vanish. “It’s good to see you, Amber. What are you doing here?” he asked gently. “I’m the future Beta female,” she replied proudly. “Congratulations. I’ve heard Beta Reed is a good man,” he said, genuinely happy for her.

Darina was happy that Amber’s heat was over and she could return to training the ladies in the morning. Darina had felt guilty for not helping in the clinic for quite some time.Camilla greeted her with open arms. “We’re not too busy, but an extra pair of hands is always welcome—especially magical ones like yours. No training for the ladies today?”Darina giggled. “Amber was in heat for two days, but now it’s over. She’s taking over the training.”“Oh, then maybe soon she’ll be coming in for a pregnancy test,” Camilla said with a motherly smile. “I can’t wait for Larissa to give me some grandbabies.”Darina could hardly picture bubbly Camilla, who looked no older than thirty, as a grandmother. But then again, her own mom also looked young and was about to become both a mother again and a grandmother.“Speaking of kids... have you spoken to Kelly lately? She looks like she’s walking on clouds. I get the sense she wants to talk to me but keeps hesitating,” Camilla

  • The Alpha Prince's Fierce Bride   Scars That Never Heal

Darius had been watching Darina from the shadows for two days. He observed her training women, playing with pups at schools and nurseries. But he had long since learned not to judge a book by its cover—sometimes the greatest evil hides behind a mask of good deeds. It looked like her mate was deeply devoted to her, and from what Darius could see, they were fated mates, not chosen ones. The mark on their skin resembled a tattoo—distinct and intricate—unlike the simple two black dots that symbolized a chosen bond.According to rumors, however, they had only recently become second-chance mates. So maybe Jackie hadn’t lied—perhaps she just didn’t know they were true mates. They looked like something out of a fairytale—or a steamy romance—gazing at each other like love-sick puppies.Darina was strong, training daily, and her pack clearly adored her. She was often seen with the future gamma female, who was obviously fond of her. But Darius hadn’t seen th

  • The Alpha Prince's Fierce Bride   His Favorite Flavor

Darina’s days were hectic, but it was the kind of busy that made her heart full. Women’s training sessions, visiting schools, nurseries, the orphanage, and preparing for her mating ceremony. Even the preparations brought her joy—this wasn’t just an event anymore. It was another step toward her dream future: being officially claimed by the man she loved. Her only concern was the strange feeling she sometimes got—like she was being watched. But whenever she looked around, no one suspicious was in sight. Maybe it was just her imagination, a trick of the mind born from disbelief that everything could be so perfect... so peaceful. Kai’s schedule was just as packed, and she had barely seen him in the last two days. He left early, came back late, and often skipped meals. When she realized he’d missed lunch again, she decided to bring it to him herself. Her own cooking was terrible—she readily admitted that culinary skills were not her strength—so s

  • The Alpha Prince's Fierce Bride   Fate Never Forgets

Maya paused deliberately, her silence meant to irritate Jackie.“I recognized you when I was dressing your wounds,” she said at last. “I wish I could have exposed you to him back then, let you rot in hell faster. But I couldn’t. I told you before—there’s balance and fate at play. Reporting you to your brother was what fate required of me then. Now, fate wants me to stay silent… and I must obey.”Jackie exhaled in relief.“Let me examine you,” the witch said coldly.Jackie shifted, giving her access to the wound.“My medicine did a good job,” Maya muttered. “Do you want me to finish the healing?”Jackie nodded eagerly.Maya closed her eyes, raised her hand over the stitches, and began to chant. The wound vanished. But as it did, strange images and emotions surged through Jackie’s mind. She saw Kai crying outside her hospital room, mourning the loss of his pup—and his pain hit her like a freight train. She saw Bre
