A disgrace

"I warned you about this, but you wouldn't listen, and now both of you are facing the consequences!" The alpha king yelled as he dropped his phone on the table in Cody’s room.

Our decision to come out and not deny the rumors, coupled with Cody kissing me on the lips, only made things worse. We found ourselves trending on every platform with one resounding request: 'Cancel the crown prince.'

"I told you that it has never happened before, a king falling in love with a man and being together. I warned you about this, but you wouldn't listen, and now you can't even leave the hospital because angry werewolves are waiting to pounce on you!"

I lowered my head, unable to raise it, blaming myself for everything happening. Cody wouldn't be in this situation if only I had told him about my fake death. We could have avoided all of this instead of giving our enemies ammunition.

"This is all my fault," I said.

The alpha king laughed, "You knew that, son, but you both see me as your enemies.
