AKIRA

It was late at night and I had just finished taking my bath. I had dismissed the maids who wanted to help in dressing me up.

“Thank you, I can dress myself,” I had told them, I wasn't going to receive some princess treatment for a pack I loathed.

I sighed when they walked out of my room.

What was the point of all these?

I stared at the pretty cream nightwear and frowned. I’d never put on something like this. Well, since I was the only one in the room, I don't see any problem with it.

I let the towel slip from my body to the ground and I assessed the dainty see-through gown. I wore it and was about to lie on the bed when I heard a thud by the balcony.

My heart skipped a beat as I turned my face to the spot but didn't see anyone. I tilted my head, my brows creasing.

A small knock sounded on the door to the balcony. I quickly searched for my daggers which I always kept in the drawer near the bed.
