The river moved quietly behind her.

Serena stood frozen on the bank, her real face not exposed under the bright moonlight.

Damien stared at her as though the world had tilted off its axis or as if he was looking dead in the eye of a real ghost.

The heavy and unspoken silence stretched too long.

“You’re not Soren,” he said at last.

“No.” she said, her tone flat.

Her voice trembled only slightly.

“Who are you?”

“I'm… Serena.”

The name settled between them like a stone dropped in still water.

  • The Alpha Queen Who Refused To Kneel    When the Last Light Fades

“It’s your father…”“He’s dying…”Dying? No,no,no:..For a moment those words didn’t register in her mind.Serena just stood there, staring at the maid like she hadn’t heard her properly. Then it truly hit her at full force Her chest tightened immediately. Then she moved. Her legs carried her quickly across the yard. Her boots slammed against stone and dirt alike as she cut through corridors, brushing past servants who barely had time to step out of her way.Her thoughts came in fragments. No…Not yet.He still has time…he couldn’t just die and leave her like that. She pushed harder as her breathing became heavier.By the time she reached the doors to his chamber, they were already open.Too many people were inside.Their voices, movements all laced with panic and urgency.Serena slowed for half a second at the threshold. As she took it in…And everything inside her dropped. The room was chaotic.Healers crowded around the bed, their hands and bodies moving quickly.“Hold him—”“More

  • The Alpha Queen Who Refused To Kneel    Not Just an Alpha’s Daughter

Serena stood at the edge of the training field, her arms folded across her chest as she watched the men move and train. For her, watching training, fights, meetings… it felt like what she was supposed to do…To be an Alpha….She watched as the men sparred each other, taking breaks, some even laughing and joking around. It was like nothing was wrong.Like their Alpha wasn’t lying on the edge of death. She took a slow deep breath, forcing herself to be calm. Then she watched as one of the men lunged fully…sloppy move. And then another failed to guard his flank, as he took in a sharp hit there.A third got knocked flat on his back, and instead of correcting his stance, he laughed as someone helped him up.Serena exhaled sharply.Pathetic.She could only think to herself… how were these lots of sorry people more fitted to be an Alpha than her.Just because they have a d**k and broad shoulders…She clenched her fists tightly. They were supposed to be warriors.Protectors.And yet—They tra

  • The Alpha Queen Who Refused To Kneel    A Daughter Denied, A Kingdom Divided

The room still carried that strong scent of herbs.Serena sat beside her father’s bed, her fingers wrapped tightly around his hand. His skin felt colder than it had the night before, the warmth slipping away inch by inch, like life slowly draining from him.Serena leaned forward slightly, her voice soft.“Father…”Still no response, even after what felt like the hundredth time..Her throat tightened, but she forced herself to continue.“They’re already talking,” she whispered. “The elders… they’ve started deciding what happens next.”Her grip on his hand tightened.“As if you’re already gone.”Silence answered her.Her eyes burned, but she refused to let the tears fall. Not now.“You told me to fight,” she continued, her voice steadier now. “You told me to stand up to them.”There was a pause as she took in a breath.“Well… I tried.”Her lips trembled slightly.“And I failed.”That word lingered. Her mind flickered briefly, unwanted, to the academy. The humiliation at the hall when

  • The Alpha Queen Who Refused To Kneel    Crowned in Silence

The gates of Nightfang loomed ahead of him… The iron gates stretched high into the sky, designed with the symbol of a wolf with his sharp fangs wide open. It was a symbol that Damien had grown up seeing each day for years till he left for the academy. And now…He was returning not as a boy.Now as a man and a true Aloha heir. The gates creaked open slowly, the sound deep and heavy, echoing across the stone path. Damien didn’t slow his steps. He walked forward as elegantly as he could and Sandy followed half a step behind him.The moment they crossed into the courtyard, the sound hit like a tidal wave.A loud and thunderous applause. The entire Nightfang pack had gathered.Rows upon rows of wolves lined both sides of the courtyard, forming a path straight ahead. Warriors. Elders. Servants. Villagers and even children, perched at the edges, stretching their necks to see.“All hail the heir!”“Damien!”“Alpha Damien!”The chants rose, their loud voices tinged with pride and exciteme

  • The Alpha Queen Who Refused To Kneel    He Won the Crown But Lost Her

The academy had never felt this loud before.Different voices carried across the courtyard… laughter, excitement, the restless energy of students. Graduation banners were already hung above the student halls. Groups of final years clustered together, recounting their experiences, some.boasting about their rankings and already imagining the lives that waited for them beyond these gates.Damien walked through it all like a ghost, not unfazed by anything happening around her. For him, everything felt… off.Wrong.His gaze drifted across the grounds. The training fields. The dining hall. The assembly square.Every corner of this place held a memory. And lately, every memory led back to one person.Serena.His jaw tightened. He hadn’t meant to think of her.But it came anyway. The assembly day.The way the entire academy had turned on her in seconds. He saw it again.Clear as day.Her standing there alone and exposed...Her secret ripped open for everyone to see.And then—Her eyes foun

  • The Alpha Queen Who Refused To Kneel    The Breaking of Mooncrest

Serene’s POV“That’s why I’m here.” Soren said, his expression now grim. She said it was bad news instantly.. She tightened her grip on the saddle, her voice hoarse.“What do you mean?” she asked carefully, almost as if she was afraid to hear his answer. Soren didn’t answer immediately. His silence said too much and it made Serena’s heart begin to pound harder.“Soren,” she pressed, turning slightly to look at him despite the pain it caused her. “What happened?”His jaw tightened. For a moment, she thought he might lie, deflect or say something useless or funny to soften the blow.He didn’t.“... Your father… his condition worsened.”The words were simple but just as sharp. Serene frowned.“No,” she said immediately, shaking her head. “No, that doesn’t make sense. He was stable. The healer said—”“It changed.”Her breath caught.Soren’s voice dropped, his tone quiet. “After the news reached Mooncrest.”Serene still.“…What news?”But deep down—She already knew.Soren didn’t look
