The Alpha Rejected Second Chance Mate

Nora's POV

I sneaked into the pack house, making my way to Jake's room. I can't believe my dream has finally come true. Jake and I had always wanted to be mated by the moon goddess. We loved each other, but we still wanted the moon goddess to approve of our love, and that happened today.

I had felt the pull; Jake's wolf must have sensed it too, as Camilla and my wolf did. I was feeling all giddy as I tiptoed to Jake's room. There isn't really any reason to sneak around, but it was exciting to do so.

When I reached Jake's room, I began to hear noises that caused me to furrow my brows.

“Ahh… Jake… oh goodness…” Moans rang out of the room, causing my eyes to widen. I felt my wolf cower in fear of the revelation we were about to receive.

“No?” My frown deepened as I slowly reached for the doorknob and began to open it. Tears rolled down my cheeks before I knew what was going on.

I gulped when I saw Jake in bed with a lady.

“Fuck! Jake! Ah, you're so  good."She moaned again, and my eyes widened. Why does her voice sound so familiar?

Maria is my big sister. My favorite person How could she? No, it must be a mistake. Maria wouldn't. She knows how much I love Jake, and she is a big fan of our relationship.

I pushed the door open with a thud, causing them to turn swiftly towards me. My heart broke when I saw that it was indeed Maria. From Maria, I looked at Jack, then back at Maria. More tears rolled down my cheeks as I watched them remain in that position, not even bothering to get up and apologize.

“Jake?” I called in shock, but he sneered.

“Hello Nora,” This was the moment he left Maria and came down from the bed. He was naked and was not ashamed. My eyes moved to Maria, who was covered under the duvet. I could clearly see the smirk on her face.

She raised her hand and said to me,

"Hey, sister," she said, her fingers dancing as she smiled at me.

She was having sex with my man! She knew Jake and I were a couple. We've been a couple for years, and she was our number one fan. How could she do this to me?

“You witch!” I yelled as I lost all control. In rage, I matched her and pulled her by the hair.

“Come down here and fight me, you bitch!” I yelled as I pulled her hair more aggressively.

Before I could land on her cheek the slap I had prepared for her, I felt a strong 

Pull by the waist. I was roughly thrown to the other side of the room, causing my back to hit the wall, and I fell with a thud.

“Arghhh!” I groaned as I tried to stand up. More tears rolled down my cheeks, and my hands and feet remained on the floor, only for me to raise my head to see Jake standing in front of me.

“This will be my last warning to you,” he began. “This should be the last time you would ever, in your miserable life, touch Maria, my Luna, and my mate ever again!"

I shivered, my hands formed a fist, and it was like I couldn't feel my legs anymore. My wolf whimpered in pain, and I heard my ear ring in pain. Someone else, his mate?

“Jake, I'm your—”

“Shut the fuck up!” He yelled before adding, “I am Alpha Jake. Say it right!"

I sniffed as more tears kept falling. I just couldn't believe it. Why does this have to happen to me? Just when the moon goddess has given me the assurance that Jake was my mate at last? And why wasn't Jake feeling it too? Like I was...

I struggled to stand on my two feet as I whispered,

“Jake, I'm yours. I am your mate.

“I do not know you,” he said, turning his face away, and my heart tightened. What had gotten over him? I happen to be the love of his life. How could he cheat on me with my own sister?

“But you love me." I don't know if it was a question or if it was a statement.

“Don't you get it, Nora? Jake doesn't know you. How can he love you when he doesn't know you?” Maria asked with a smirk. She was now standing beside Jake, her head high and her chin raised like the Luna of the pack. like the mate to the Alpha.

But no, she is none of that. She is a fucking betrayal, a sister that I wish I never had. A chameleon and a goat in sheep's clothing

I matched up with her in anger and gave her a resounding slap. The second I slapped her, Jake pulled me by my left arm and turned me around, only to land a slap on my cheek too.

“Arghh!” I cried as my hand flew to my aching cheek.

“I had warned you. Let me remind you that we have absolutely nothing together. You think I'm your mate? Fine, I'll reject you right now, whether I am your mate or not.

“No, no Jake—” I cried and fell on my knees to beg him, but he turned deaf ears as he spoke loudly.

“I, Jake Ferrel, the Alpha King's only son and the future leader of this pack, am rejecting you, Nora Preston, as my future Luna and mate."

I froze with wide eyes as I looked at him in shock. My wolf, for the first time since I had her whimper, suddenly went out. She closed her eyes so tightly that I couldn't feel her. It made me so weak that I could hardly stand if I wanted to.

“You better get lost, you hear me? Don't you dare bring shame to our people. Look at yourself; you're just an ugly cow. You ain't ever going to find a mate like me. Now get the hell out of here and stop burdening our pack.”
