"We are so desirous of vengeance that people often offend us by not giving offence."
-Dorothee DeLuzy-

The dark mossy green and umber colored room was filled with four figures wearing black cloak who circled around a huge ball of glass which acted like a live mirror. They had been waiting for it for so long. The gatherings always occurred a day after everything happened but most of the times, the result was not as satisfactory, however, that day was different.
Flashes of images sparked from the glass showing the fight among the Azure Blood clan and the rogues from the previous night. The witches’ green eyes gleamed as they saw the alpha of the clan fell on the lake. The panicked expression of the other wolves brought great delight to them as they thought they had finally managed to get rid of that annoying alpha wolf.
“I can’t believe this day would come sooner than what we had expected.” A woman’s amused voice was heard. She had a huge grin over her face and tried her best to not laugh out loud. There was hints of madness in her eyes.
“I know sister, how wonderful it is to know that he is finally dead? It is only a matter of time before we launch our attack since the pack would be weak without their alpha.” Soon enough a male voice reaffirmed what she had just stated. However, the other two witches still had their skepticism regarding the situation.
“Is it really this easy? If so, why do I still feel uneasy? They have not found his body yet. We cannot confirm whether or not he is truly dead.” A more mature sounding female voice followed, instantly killing the excitement the other two had. The three of them turned their head to the eldest among them, the taller man standing in the middle.
“What do you think about this, Herod?” They were waiting for his opinion as he was deemed the wisest. The man was their leader and they would definitely follow his decision. Herod was silent for a while, he appeared to be in deep thoughts.
“The alpha is not dead yet, I cannot sense his blood. He must be alive.” He stated which made everyone else shocked. If Herod was the one telling them, then it must have been true. After all the man was gifted the ability to sense things beyond the other witches. The question was, where would the alpha be at the moment?
“Then what are we supposed to do? If he is not dead, then he must be weak right now. We need to find him before the other wolves do, that way we can just murder him and reclaim our victory once and for all.” The younger man, the fourth child and the younger brother suggested. However, Herod shook his head. It seemed like he knew something none of them did.
“We can’t just find him now, nor can we kill him just yet, it is not the time. If we do it now, things would end up disastrous. We still need to wait.” None of the others understood what exactly he meant by that. It looked like their older brother was just wasting opportunity to defeat their lifetime enemy who had murdered their parents ten years ago.
Yes, the witches gathered in the room was none other than the Vichell family who had a long history of war with the Azure Blood pack. They were making their attempts on revenge against the ones who had murdered their parents.
When the previous leaders died, the children worked extremely hard on cultivating their magic for the past ten years just so they could bring an end to the wolf pack and made them feel what they felt ten years ago.
Their new leader was the eldest of the family, Herod Vichell. The man had long black hair and a glimmering forest green eyes, a signature to their family. Among all of them, he had the deepest amount of hatred for them since he was in the same room with them when they killed his parents. He witnessed it happening in front of his eyes.
After the incident was over, he made a vow to become the greatest leader of the Vichell family and protected his siblings while avenging their parents’ death. His magical power was called the destructive black magic. He was the most powerful among the siblings and could destroy an entire building with a snap of a hand.
There were five members of the family, the eldest was Herod, the second one was the eldest daughter of the family, Josephine Vichell, the brunette haired woman was called the blood lady. Because she was able to control blood within human veins.
She had previously tested her magic on wolves and it worked, but she needed more sample to make sure if her magic had any flaw. The woman was calm and collected, similarly to Herod, she was rational and acted as the mother figure for her siblings.
The third child was Mila Vichell. She was the most beautiful among all the children and a popular socialite among the witches and humans. She possessed dark blonde hair and slender body. Her magic involved hypnosis and mind control.
She had fortune telling ability to a certain degree, but it was not always accurate. She had amazing ability to gather information from others and had a sly, cunning personality.
The fourth child was Lewis, he controlled fire magic. The red haired man was quite hot tempered and rebellious but he did not have enough nerve to defy the eldest brother’s order. He was physically strong as well, but he lacked the ability to think properly and one of the least sharp member of the family.
And last but not least, the youngest member of the Vichell family. The beloved daughter who was only a young child when her parents’ died. Emmeline Vichell.
“Wait, now that we’ve talked about this, where is Emmeline?” It was true, the youngest sibling was not there at the gathering with them. They looked around but there was no sign of her anywhere. They thought she would be late like usual, but she actually did not arrive at all. Mila quickly used her power to track her but looked like she had blocked all magic attempt on her.
Josephine sighed and shook her head. That child was truly something. The free spirited golden haired Emmeline was a bit different from her older siblings. Because she had never truly grasped what happened to her parents, she did not bear the same kind of hatred her older siblings did. Besides, they had always protected her and kept her sheltered, which was why she never truly understood what was actually going on.
However, her free spirit had brought a few issues to her siblings, just like that one. Sometimes she would go outside on her own and never told anyone where she went, then she would return back in the evening acting like nothing happened while her siblings were worried if something had happened to her. All of those acts were based solely on one reason.
The eighteen years old Emmeline bore no great magic power. Despite being a member of the Vichell family, she was only able to do low ranking magic which could be done by nearly any witches, hence why they thought she definitely would not survive if she was attacked by a pack of wolf, that was why they always tried to keep her in the house, but the clever girl always found her ways out and it was starting to irritate them.
“All of you should stay here, I will be going out to find Emmeline.” Josephine stated as she changed into her proper attire using magic. They stared at her and sighed. Jospehine just could not leave the girl alone, after all the two of them were quite close to each other.
Before she managed to step out, the door opened and Emmeline walked into the room, completely unharmed. She removed her hood and walked toward her siblings. Josephine quickly rushed to her side and nagged her for leaving the place without any guards around.
“I’m sorry. I was bored in this place. There is nothing for me to do every single day except practicing my magic. I just went to the forest to take a stroll, however, I managed to find something interested.” She stated with a smile.
"What is it?" Her brothers and sister raised their brows.
“Alpha Maximilllian is alive.” Most of the siblings were surprised except for Herod who had expected it. He already had a hunch that it would not be that easy to kill him off.
"How do you know that?" Mila questioned.
"I was wondering around the forest and I saw him from afar, he was with a woman, a human, not sure who she was but it was none of my business." She snuffed.
The rest of them turned to Herod asking for his advice on what they should do next.
"I guess I'll just give that human a visit later."
"The closer one comes to truth, the further one gets from mind." -James Pierce- *** Why is it so dark? I’m cold… why am I here? Why am I alone? The wolf version of maxi was seen running alone in the dark forest, he did not know where he was running or why he was running, all he knew was he needed to keep running. He was avoiding something, yet he had no recollection of the reason why he avoided it. His legs were light as air yet he kept on running along the single path surrounded by large trees. He was starting to become really tired, which was quite unusual considering he had never been tired while running before. Werewolves were known for their extra strength, but Maximillian in particular was one of the strongest and he had high level of durability, but in that place, he felt weak. He was tired and he wanted to rest but he could not. What am I doing? He asked himself. A few moment later which felt
"Crying is alright in its way while it lasts. But you have to stop sooner or later, and then you still have to decide what to do." -C.S Lewis- *** “Mother still refuses to come out from her room. It has been two days since the last time she had anything to eat. I am afraid if she continues acting like this she will eventually fall ill.” Beatrix expressed her concern to a trusted maid in the house who was preparing her dinner at the moment. For some reason, the dining table felt so empty. Since the news of her brother going missing, assumedly dead, Cordelia had been staying in her room mourning for her son. She refused to meet anyone and had not taken a bit of anything. Even the water they brought to her room was barely touched. On the other hand, her other brother, Reinhart, had been depressed since he was the reason Maximillian disappeared. He had a terrible nightmare on the first night after the incident and could n
"There is no harvest for the heart alone. The seed of love must be eternally re-sown." -Anne Morrow Lindbergh- *** “You have a much larger appetite tonight, don’t you, Sabrina? I thought you said you would be going on a diet.” Layla remarked as she saw her sister putting pounds of meat on her plate. She did not even pour any sauce on them which was quite unusual. Sabrina shrugged it off and told her she was just feeling a lot hungrier lately due to the amount of physical work she needed to do. Her father did not really question her like Layla did and acted nonchalant about it, which was such a relief for her. “Let her be, after all she has been working quite hard lately. Just eat as much as you want. Groceries are incredibly cheap around here. These meats are locally grown so we can always get them at any time.” Greg just laughed it off as he took a piece of meat from his plate and bit it. Sabrina was glad at least her father
"I think, if it is true that there are as many minds as there are heads, then there are as many kinds of love as there are hearts."-Leo Tolstoy-***It was the third day since Alpha Maxi had gone missing and everyone within the manor was starting to become more worried if he was truly dead. The team which was sent to search for him had also given up since there was no way he would survive for three days straight without returning there. Cordelia and Reinhart were both still heartbroken but since Esther arrival, they had managed to sort their feelings out.“You do not need to blame yourself. What happened was not exactly your fault. So don’t torture yourself like this. It’s not helping anyone, especially yourself.” She stated calmly. Of course, for him, it was still a huge mental burden. She kept reassuring him that since they had not found his body, there was still a chance he was alive and would return,
"Yearning: It needs to hurt in order to be worthy of the word. Otherwise it is just wanting." -John of The Cross- *** Sabrina woke up that morning and found herself in the storage room, the sunlight fell on her face from the glass window above and she could no longer sleep because of how noisy her father was on the outside. She rubbed her eyes and looked around her to find the wolf has ran away. She thought it was odd that the wolf could open the storage door as she did not see any damage being done but she guessed the creature had his own way. Not sure why, but she felt a deep sense of loss when the wolf was not around her. She had barely know him and it was obvious that once he was healed, he would wish to go back to the forest where he belonged, yet Sabrina could not help but feel lonely. It was almost as if a lover had left her so suddenly. She knew she was overthinking it but she wished the wolf would tell her first befo
"Protection is the first necessity of opulence and luxury." -Joseph Conrad- *** Mila Vichell was arguing with her brother Lewis about an amulet they had just discovered on the magic market. It was Mila who initially bought the protective amulet yet once she arrived back home, her brother tried to trade the necklace since it also caught his attention, but she refused to trade it with a few coins he offered, in the end they decided to settle with with a little magic fight on their manor’s yard. Whoever won the fight would be able to own the amulet. Lewis swiftly lit up his fire magic and shot it at her. Mila who was good at her reflexes, quickly dodged it and went to attack him with her soundwave ability which made him fell on his back. She did not waste more time and tied him up with her psychic ability, making him unable to move and at that point, the woman was really tempted to sneak into his mind and manipulated him into fo
"Family quarrels are bitter things. They don't go according to any rules. They're not like aches or wounds, they're more like splits in the skin that won't heal because there's not enough materials." -F. Scott Fitzgerald- *** “What are you doing, Maximillian!?” Esther barged into the guest bedroom as soon as she heard him returning to the manor with a woman in his hand. She could not believe her brother had brought a stranger back to the werewolf home, not to mentioned, she was just a mere human. She was certain the others were starting to notice the scent of a human inside the house and would probably wonder where the scent even came from. Esther took a seat on the chair because she was getting frustrated and tried to calm herself down by drinking some water before facing her brother who had a flat expression on his face. He could understand why she was so upset with him. He understood everything perfectly, h
"You must welcome change as the rule, but not as your ruler." -Denis Waitley- *** Sabrina felt a massive headache when she tried to wake up that day. Her surrounding was cold but somehow she was sweating profusely. A few minutes before she truly woken up, her physical body kept on tossing and turning as she felt an uncomfortable tug in her chest. Slowly, she could not handle herself anymore and slowly opened up her eyes. It took her some time to fully gather her soul and when she did, she realized she was not in her bedroom, but she was somewhere else. The ceiling had changed and she quickly sat up to observe her surroundings. Sabrina was not in her own room and she started to panic. As she got up from the bed, she realized her clothes had also been changed to a white silk night gown which looked different on her. She rushed to the mirror and found out nothing else had changed but she was not sure if what she experien
