LOGINWinter's pov
"You shouldn't have brought me here," I jumbled my words as I paced the floor in front of Ashton. He hadn't said a word but it's not like I had given him a chance to as I cried about what had happened earlier with Masha.
"Your brother, that shithead did nothing to stop his whore," I sneered, pacing faster while pulling the wet clinging shirt away from my skin.
I should've taken Axel's drink and dumped it on her. Or dumped it on both of them. That way we all would've been the laughing stock.
"They laughed at me," I sniffled, flinging my arms and turning to face him. It was dark and I couldn't really see his face but could make out his silhouette.
"Ugh I'm now the biggest laughing stock on campus," I cried and run to him like I always do, flinging myself in his arms so he'd comfort me like he does every single time I'm upset.
I freeze. The sudden burst of warmth across my body shocked me but it's not only that, beneath my skin tingled. It was weird, yet.....felt good.
Sure Ashton's hugs comforted me, but not like this. Not like his mere heat was lighting up a fire under my skin. Not so hot. Not so intense.
I gripped his shirt, the fabric wrinkling in my palm as my brows furrowed. I'm taken off guard by the emotions running through me. I had never felt like this before.
I could feel his chest rise and fall with every breath as my ear press to his quickly beating heart. Tonight he feels different. Tonight something was-
"Ash-
I begin to utter when I felt his finger touch under my chin and gently, almost like he was scared to touch me, lift my head up.
The air around us turned thick and burned with something sharp that caused goosebumps to dot across my skin.
My breath caught in my throat when I lifted my gaze to feel his warm breath against my parted lips. My heart pounds in my chest. He still had yet to say a word but I don't think he needed to.
Words didn't need to be said, not when the mere heat from his body was causing me to pulse with something I had never experienced before.
Need.
The need for him to simply......kiss me.
The need for him to.....taste me.
My grip on his shirt got tighter, firmer, as if it would anchor me since my legs felt like jello. He had done nothing but hold my chin tenderly. He had done nothing but press his body against mine as his other free hand burn on the small of my back.
I gasp.
Something was off tonight. Yet felt so right.
He felt so right.
Ashton....my best friend felt so right.
My entire body felt like it was buzzing, humming with something that was like electricity. I felt alive. Alive in a way I had never felt before.
It made no sense. This was Ashton.
He had hugged me a thousand times before to comfort me when I felt like crap. I had cried into his shirt, soaked them with my tears more than I could count.
Yet never. Not even once had I felt so.....needy. Never had my knees felt so weak. Never had my core clenched or my skin flare with tingles of heat.
Never had I felt my juices drench my panties. Never had my body buzzed with so much desperation to be closer and to be touched by him.
But tonight. Tonight I felt those things so intensely that I am on the verge of begging him to just kiss me. Especially when I could feel his head dip lower when the warmth of his labored breath kiss across my lips.
I tilted my head up, my lips tingling as if begging him to kiss them as my pulse thrums in my ears.
His breathing had slowed, become more labored, more short and as he used his hand to pull me closer, it felt like he was trying his hardest to hold back.
Could he feel my heartbeat?
Could he hear my thoughts?
Does he know that-
A breathy gasp fluttered out of my lips when I felt him grow hard against my stomach. Hard and huge, pressing into my skin like he was warning me that he was about to claim me.
My skin buzzed and my juices flowed more heavily between my thighs.
"Ash-
I opened my mouth to speak but the words were cut off when a pair of warm lips pressed against mine. The sudden sensation caused a burst of tingles to race down my spine, my heart thrumming louder in my ears.
I moan, unable to help it as he tastes me, the tip of his tongue ghosting across my bottom lip to coax me to open my mouth. And I do.
I let him in. I let him claim me.
I let my best friend Ashton taste me.
Winter's povI pushed the engine as hard as it would go. Brody's truck was old, so it's only much it could do. Cold sweat trickled down my neck, mingling with the lingering dampness of the rain. In the passenger seat, Sophia's eyes fluttered shut, her tiny head rolling to the side as she succumbed to exhaustion. She was fast asleep. My heart hammered against my ribs painfully. I glanced at the rearview mirror. The black sedan was right on my tail, its blinding headlights cutting through the darkness as it ruthlessly closed the gap between us.They're going to catch us. They're going to kill me and take my sister.A suffocating wave of pure terror washed over me and with it came that terrifying spark deep within my gut. The strange heat flared to life again, rushing through my bloodstream like liquid fire. My skin began to prickle, my fingertips buzzing with an electric overwhelming vibration. It was growing too fast, swelling beyond my control and feeding directly off my panic.No. N
Winter's povThe lights of the city faded into the rearview mirror as the heavy downpour finally tapered off into a small drizzle. But the silence inside the vehicle was quite deafening and only shattered only by Sophia's desperate heart wrenching cries. She was hyperventilating, her tiny chest heaving as she pulled at her soaked clingy shirt. Her small lips were pale as her body trembled uncontrollably against the cracked leather seat."I know Soph, I know," I sobbed, my voice small as I tried to focus on the pitch-black back roads. "You're hungry. Your belly hurts. I'm so sorry, Sophia...I'm going to get you something to eat. I promise. Just hold on for a few more minutes. Please, hold on."Up ahead I could see the neon sign of a lonely twenty-four-hour gas station flicker through the dark woods like a flashlight. I swung the truck onto the gravel lot, pulling into the far corner away from the bright overhead lights and killed the ignition. My heart was hammering against my ribs so
Winter's povI pressed my foot down hard on the accelerator, the tires spraying mud and gravel as Brody's old truck tore down the empty road. In the passenger seat beside me, Sophia was sobbing, her tiny body trembling in her wet clothes as she clutched her small hands together.Every gasp she took felt like a knife twisting in my heart."Shh...Sophia, it's okay. I’m here," I choked out, my voice cracking as I wiped rainwater and hot tears from my face with my shoulder. But my words were an empty reassurances that did nothing to calm her screams or quiet the sheer panic suffocating me.I had no money. I had no home. I had no food, no dry clothes and no place to hide. My mother had cast me out into the storm branding me a monster and threatened to hand me over to the werewolf council. I couldn't go back to campus and I certainly couldn't run to Axel or Ashton. If the they discovered what I was....what I had done....My knuckles turned white against the cracked steering wheel as my min
Winter's povThe freezing rain hit my face the moment I stepped outside, but it barely registered over the numbness in my veins. My shoes sank into the mud of the driveway as I stumbled away from the building, my breath coming in short uneven gasps that hitched painfully in my throat.A witch. I was a witch. The word echoed over and over inside my head. It felt like a death sentence suspended over my life. I couldn't go back to Campus. If my own mother was ready to hand me over to the Council, I couldn't go back. I couldn't trust that they wouldn't turn against me. Not after I rejected Axel. I had to run away. I couldn't go back. My knees buckled but I caught myself against cold wet metal.I looked up through my blurred vision and realized I was standing right beside Brody's old beat-up pickup truck. The rusted white frame was parked unevenly under the trees, hidden as if he didn't want anyone to spot it. The truck was idling softly, the faint rumble of the engine vibrating throug
Winter's povThe word hung in the cold air between us and I couldn't seem to wrap my mind around what she had just said. Witch. She was a witch. Which meant I was a witch. A witch....Shock paralyzes me, binding my tongue as my brain desperately fought to reject the reality crashing down on my shoulders. I was a witch. The strange shimmering light, the sudden explosion of power that had just torn through Brod......it wasn't a fluke. It wasn't an accident. It was magic. My magic. "No..." I breathed, shaking my head as the room spun. "No, Mom, that's impossible! Magic would have shown up when I was a child. It doesn't just-""It did!" Mom shrieked, her voice cracking into a manic screech. She stared at me, her eyes wild with a revulsion so deep it felt like a physical blow. "It just did! You killed a man with it, Winter! You destroyed him with a wave of your hand!""I was trying to save you! I was trying to save Sophia!" I cried out, my voice breaking into a painful sob."It's evil!"
Winter's pov"Get out!" Mom's voice spikes into a sharp screech that echoes off the walls as she collapses back onto Brody's lifeless chest. Her hands that were soaked in dark crimson, clutches at his dirty clothes as if trying to shield the dead man from me."You killed him, Winter! Oh God, you really killed him...I thought they were lying. I thought they were just trying to scare me when they said you'd be able to do this!"She shook her head, her eyes wild bloodshot and wide with a lot of terror. The tears trailed down her cheeks as her gaze darted between Brody's still face and me."I prayed they were wrong," she rambled, her breathing quick and uneven as her knuckles turned white against his dirty clothing. "I prayed you were just normal! But you're not...you're a curse. A terrible, wicked curse!"A cold sensation passes through my bones. The grief and exhaustion that was heavy in my limbs suddenly gave way to confusion. What did she mean? Who is 'they?'I stared at her through t
Winter's povThe feel of him, the heat, the low grunts brushing against my ear as he moved in and out of me was intoxicating.I cling to Ashton, my nails biting into his shoulder as he thrusts into me deeper. My back arches, my breasts pressing to his bare chest as I flutter out a moan. "Oh A-"Win

Evie's povThe sound of the necklace snapping sounded way too loud in the quiet room. My eyes widen in horror as the delicate chain falls between us on the floor with a faint clink."I-what? You pulled it-"Don't you dare blame this on me you wolf-less bitch!" She sneered under her breath harshly a
