We sit in the office and finish our coffees, a comortable silence within the room as all sit together. I ntoice the other two men are frequently glancing in Evelyn's direction, likely checking she is okay, much like I am. I hope she is finding this okay. That she comes to adjust to the situation we find ourselves in.

I look across to her again, at the spot she has taken on Cayden's lap, and I note a content smile on Evelyn’s face as she gazes out into the garden through the window of her office. I think she may be okay. She looks happy. I love seeing her settled. This is what I had wanted for her. I just hope we are able to keep her safe. Perhaps the fact she has these additional mates that fate has gifted her will be the thing that keeps her safe. Gives her the additional strength that Ariella has spoken of. Maybe I need to try to see some positives in the situation we find ourselves in instead of trying to see the negatives that constantly come to my mind. At the end of the day,
