They dispersed and began to search for Claire around the pond. They searched every inch of the forest around the pond, but everyone came back empty-handed.

"We didn't find her anywhere. I think she must have run away" one of them informed the Lycan who was holding Claire in the packhouse. His name is Mark and Cassandra bought him with money. Most of the Lycans who are working for her are bought with money. She will only turn people whom she needs into puppets by killing them and inserting her master's essence into their bodies, just like she tried with Leo.

Mark fumed with anger. He is worried that Cassandra would kill him if he loses Claire today. He saw with his eyes how vicious and dangerous Cassandra is. So he doesn't want to gamble with his life because of Claire. He wants money and Cassandra is giving him more money than he could imagine. But he is not allowed to make mistakes like this one. It might cost him dearly.
