I waltzed back into the chamber when I sensed something had gone wrong.

"Let her be, Henry. She is just overwhelmed." I said when my eyes fell on Elara.

Why did I feel like Henry was attached to this girl more than I had imagined? I could ignore it and pretend it was nothing, but I wouldn't have my husband fawning over some tool we were supposed to use to liberate our pack.

I hated that the liberation had to come from her womb and not mine, since I wasn't Henry's true mate,
