Aria’s POV......

The moment they came in, the world tilted.

Kael’s arms were slick with blood, and Kaelen—my Kaelen—was looking emotionless and pale. His chest was torn open, the deep gashes raw and gleaming even through the healing paste they smeared over it. The scent of blood and burnt metal filled the hall. My knees gave way.

“Get the healer!” I screamed.

But the healers were already running.

They tried to place Kaelen on the table but something was wrong, he was struggling and fighting t

  • The Alpha king and the Hunt   Chapter 078: Not such a good plan

Aria’s POVMy hands were shaking.Standing in this dining hall, dressed like an ordinary palace maid while the most dangerous Alpha in the kingdoms sat only a few metres away, made my heart feel like it was trying to break through my ribs.I kept my head lowered.Whatever happened, I couldn't let him see my face clearly same for Nyra.I glanced at Nyra and she was carrying a tray of wine glasses, her expression carefully blank bur I knew her well enough now to notice the tension in her shoulders. Her wolf was awake, I could see it in her eyes shifted colors. Stay calm, I mouthed and shw gave the smallest nod. Across the room, Caelum stood with the guards. He looked completely different in his armour. His face was stern, his posture straight, and his hands rested near the sword at his waist. If I hadn't known him, I would have believed he was one of them. That was exactly what we needed.A few minutes later, the doors opened and the guests arrived, one after another, powerful Alphas

  • The Alpha king and the Hunt   Chapter 077: Play the game

Aria’s POVI was beginning to hate forests. Not because they were particularly unpleasant, but because every important decision in our lives seemed to involve walking through one.We had spent hours travelling, barely stopping to rest, and my feet were beginning to protest, Nyra, on the other hand, seemed unusually focused ever since we recovered the first piece of the Worldstone, she had been quiete.Occasionally pressing a hand against her chest as though she was listening to something only she could hear.Caelum walked a few steps ahead of us.He had insisted on carrying the Worldstone, although I wasn’t entirely convinced that was wise. The two pieces had joined together, forming a single object, and it was now wrapped carefully in a dark cloth and secured inside his bag.I glanced at Nyra. “How far?”She looked at me “You’ve asked that question six times.”“And I intend to ask it seven times if we don’t get there soon.”A faint smile touched her lips.“We’re close.”I sighed dr

  • The Alpha king and the Hunt   Chapter 076: confess our feelings

Nyra’s POVSomething was wrong with my wolf again, he was restless.I sat with my knees drawn against my chest, staring at the moon hanging in the sky. The cave behind us was quiet, save for the occasional rustle of leaves and the soft sound of Aria breathing in her sleep.Caelum sat beside me, his back resting against a large rock, he had been unusually quiet for the past few minutes, but I knew he was watching me.He always watched me especially when I was trying to pretend nothing was wrong, I pressed my palms against my knees.Move.The deep male voice echoed inside my head and I closed my eyes, not again. We have wasted enough time.My jaw tightened. My wolf had become increasingly restless since we recovered the second piece of the Worldstone. He rarely allowed me a moment of peace. Sometimes he paced inside my mind, sometimes he growled, and other times he demanded that I shift.Tonight was worse, he wanted something, but whenever I tried to understand what it was, he only be

  • The Alpha king and the Hunt   Chapter 075: Operation find our kids : 1

Third Person POVThe journey had been exhausting. For days, Kaelen, Luna Aria, Louis and Damien had travelled through various territories, following every clue they could find. They had crossed dense forests and passed through abandoned settlements and questioned several people along the way. Some had been helpful and others had refused to speak but none of them had given the group enough information to locate the children.Until they reached the Northern Territory, it was easy to move around because most of he things were destroyed and in ruins, this war was taking away people’s lives like the last time. The wall was huge, It stretched across the landscape, built from thick stone and reinforced with metal. Watchtowers stood at regular intervals, each was guarded by armed guards who scanned the surrounding forest. There were no welcoming signs or colourful flags.Instead, there were soldiers, lots of them. Some were training in an open field, others were carrying weapons, while a gr

  • The Alpha king and the Hunt   Chapter 074: let them come

The Evil Alpha pov Power was like a dug, take too much of it and become and addicted take too little and you can barely survive.Far below, thousands of lights illuminated the streets. My people slept peacefully, believing their king was protecting them from the chaos beyond their borders. They were fools, I wasn’t protecting them. I was preparing them. One day, every pack, every kingdom, and every creature who had ever believed themselves beyond my reach would understand what true power looked like. The Worldstone would make that possible. But first, I needed the other two pieces from those little brats and now, for the first time in months, they were within reach.“Bring me Vincent.”I gave the command to the nearest guard and within minutes, the doors opened again, and a tall man entered the throne room.Vincent was one of my most trusted commanders. Unlike the frightened soldiers who constantly surrounded me, he understood the difference between being powerful and appearing powe

  • The Alpha king and the Hunt   Chapter 073: As stubborn as his family

The Evil Alpha King’s POVI sat on my throne, one hand resting against the armrest while the other held a small, dark object between my fingers. The third piece of the Worldstone, it was no larger than my palm, yet the power sleeping inside it was enough to change the fate of every kingdom in existence. The Moon Goddess had created the Worldstone to destroy darkness, a foolish decision, in my opinion. Why create something so powerful only to place restrictions on who could wield it?Why divide its power into three pieces and hide them across different territories? Why make the one thing capable of destroying darkness so difficult to possess?Perhaps the Moon Goddess had believed that no one would be foolish enough to challenge her.Perhaps she had never imagined someone like me.I turned the stone over in my hand and a faint silver glow pulsed beneath its surface. For years, I had kept it hidden from the world. My enemies believed the Worldstone was nothing more than an ancient lege

  • The Alpha king and the Hunt   Chapter 131: The ritual

Louis’s POV…… The forest was quiet and getting dark, my throat hurt from where damien had choked me. Damien walked beside me, his steps slower than usual, his shoulders were tense beneath the weight of everything he wasn’t telling me. I remember his loss of control, my fear, the bite I’d used
